I had a bargain dinner last night which made up for spedning on the weekend.
A brocolli, a garlic clove, some olive oil, butter and chicken stock. Boiled and then whizzed up in the mixer.
Made 2 perfect size bowls of soup for me and the OH. Superfood !! Cost me about 80p.
Mmmm that sounds nice! I wish we had an Aldi near us because you could make some nice cheap soups with their veg offers.
We will be away for five days soon at an event and I will be doing the catering so at least I know we will be fed well and someone else is paying for all the food!Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
Well it seems they're all in a war with veg at the moment. Went to Asda and broccoli is 49p each, 2 corn cobs are 47p, 2 garlic bulbs for 40p, 6 apples for 98p etc.
I know Aldi and Lidl are probably a bit cheaper but Asda is right next door to my work so for convenience it's the best.
I really should make more home made soups and stuff, it's so damn easy. Just having the rest of the ingredients in the cupboards to start with.0 -

Just checking in to say I'm alive! Move went ok, spent yesterday flat hunting for a permanent place. Still trying to sort somewhere permanent, but getting there gradually.
Good luck with the debt busting!0
