Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2014!

Thanks for the number, No. 203 signing in.
Well I can't really pay anything off until pay day but I have managed to pick up some overtime before pay day so that will help pay some off the OD, and I am trying to cut down on utility spends even though that won't make a difference straight away. I'm doing the grocery challenge as well and trying to live out of my cupboards for as long as I can, so my spends are only fresh food as my freezer and cupboards are quite full so that will help as well. I'm feeling positive about this as I would really like to start enjoying my frugal lifestyle without debt!!

Wow - well done you! Did you put the Lotto on yesterday? Should I be getting the debt free roll of honour ready? :rotfl::rotfl:
Should say, sorry all for not checking in much the last couple of weeks! The job market in my industry is just starting to pick up, and I've been filling quite a few hours. I've had a couple of interviews lately, which is getting a little pricey, but sadly no bites, for really silly reasons too, e.g. one company were going to make an offer, but then their branch manager decided they didn't want anyone any more...
I've been spending around £60 a go for train fares, plus have to buy food when I'm there. Ultimately I've been trying to tighten my belt to save for our holiday without impacting my target, but this has been making life quite tight.
I am now sitting at:
£1415/3500 (40.43%)
(well I will be on Monday, if I transfer any money out today I'll be left with £1 in my bank account!)
Sadly I didn't have £2 on me last night
I spent £120 in London today on holiday clothes, well worth it.0 -
Hi! Can I join too? I have roughly £7800 in credit card debt that I would love to clear by Christmas:o the idea of being clear of all credit cards would be amazing as I have had credit card debts since I was around 19 years old. I have paid off 2 loans and another credit card already this year :jMbna- £3165

Hi all, DH and DD went to Goodwood today and I got a text saying DD really wanted to go on a helicopter ride! How could I say no. What a great daddy daughter memory! Will mean £100 less that I can pay off the card next month but it was worth it! Got to get a balance between paying stuff off, saving and enjoying life!Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0

Hi,
Garmcqui #157
Unfortunately my debt increased a bit since I last updated the thread in May. However I have just made a large payment of £1815, so it's on the way down again, leaving my current status as:
Total paid: £3935 / £7790 - 50.51%
(at least the percentage has still increased! lol)
Dome a bit of extra work this month again, so hoping to pay ~£1800 again next month.0 -
Hi everyone

Thank you minicooper272!
Well to start me off on my new frugal life, and inspired by extreme couponing on TLC, I went to Tesco yesterday and managed to get £12 worth of shopping for 19p. Admittedly I did use £9 worth of club card vouchers (we just don't get as many good money off vouchers in the UK I'm finding so any site recommendations would be gladly received).
I then went to my boyfriend's house and raided his cupboards and got 3 tins of tuna, sausages and some crusty baguettes! Lol.
Every little helps!!!!
#204 - £0/£18,854.36 -0% (although my cards are due this week and I'm expecting to make a good dent in it as I could only pay minimum payments last month as my new employer kindly forgot to pay me last month so I've got a double pay packet this month plus my sister owes me some cash that she is giving me back woo hoo!) :T:TDFD Feb 2015:

Wow - well done for that! I've never tried this, but if you sign up to Quidco, you can scan in your supermarket receipts to get cash back. It's deals like 'buy 2 get £1 cashback' so unless you study up before you go, it my be a slim chance of getting any money, but worth a shot! They do have an app so you can scan as you go round.0
