It's all going rather slow for me at the moment, what with son being home from Uni...eating me out of house and home and then his birthday. I'm also off to Marakecch next week which has been booked for ages and I have lots of other birthdays/wedding anniversaries over the month :(. I think it's going to be a rather painful month.

On the positives: I am working my way through my new course quickly so I am hoping to be trained by September and up and running asap after the training (I'm hoping somone cancels so that I can complete my training quicker...5 months seems like a long time!!).

I have paid £70 off of the debt (not much but I need to cut back this month)...a few more mini payments to be made over the month when the statements arrive.

Having a great spring clean..making me feel so much better..hoping to have the house up together by June so I can rent a room. I'm going to take a few boxes to charity and maybe sell a few things on the Bay...Onwards and upwards!

Paid off a chunk today, as just been paid.
But more importantly - to me - I have just paid off 1 cc completely:T so only 3 to go and they all have really long balance transfer dates (all in 2015)

    So

  • Well this month is finally coming good, just made a overpayment for the mortgage arrears (Normally make this in the 2nd week of the month), Paid my mortgage so now we are just awaiting card payments to clear into the bank (They take 3 working days from the date we take the order) and I can make a CC Payment on friday as I have to goto the wholesalers tomorrow.

United Utilities need paying on the 8th May at the latest so I hope we have a good weekend and I can get myself to nearly 7% paid off within the next 10 days, ideally if we have a good month id like to end may nearly 12% paid off but that may be pushing it a bit..

Was hoping to hit the magic 5% toda, but as im left a grand total of 93p in my account to last me until tomorrow I doubt that would happen..

  • I feel like I'm back to square one after completing three balance transfers and being charged the fee :(
  • I feel like I'm back to square one after completing three balance transfers and being charged the fee :(

Don't Feel like that - I dont know if you have balance transferred from 3 debts to one new card, or moved to 0%'s etc.

If you have gone from 3 smaller debts to one bigger debt - close the other 3 accounts and feel the benefits of a simpler path to debt free (Less people wanting money from you) - Meaning you can focus more on bringing the one debt down and get more excitement as it gets close to 0!

If you are balance transferring for a 0% deal - think of the fee you have just paid - as long as you pay it all off before the deal ends, then that is all of the interest just paid at the front rather than in dribs and drabs - and each payment you make will reduce the balance!

If you have moved smaller debts to one bigger debt with a 0% balance transfer - :T:T Double Win!

Finally got statement from Tesco Credit Card. Another £65,78 paid off. That card is back to £0 now. Hopefully won't need to spend on that again. Although it's going to be a busy birthday month in May.

    New total: £1791.95/£2611.78 68.61%

Got my payslip through and got a £1 tax rebate, (and didn't pay any tax either!)

I also got £20 on last payslip. I wonder why it's coming through in little bits :/ oh well, shall not complain!

Should be able to pay car insurance, direct debits and my petral CC payment!

Can't wait to start paying debts again. Cool kid!
