  • Hi all,

Unfortuantely my cc debt has gone up due to a HUMONGOUS dental bill that I have mentioned since last October on here.

Going to use the 2nd job money to chip away at it and keep my main job money chucked towards the debt. I use the 2nd job money for life things, so it means it will be a lot of not spending going on now. Once thats been paid off, the 2nd job money will be used to build up an emergency fund.

So £35 paid off today =
    £1,935.70/£9,888.44 (16.4%)
    Started again 25th December 2017
    Current tracking - £7,955.84/ £18,282.25 to pay off. (31.12.19)

Another month of unexpected bills, a plumber this time

£277.77 paid off this month, making £910.59 for the year to date for #124. This is proving much tougher than I imagined.
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done

OH's old insurance company just took out a payment cos he didn't cancel the DD like I told him to!!! So we're waiting for it to be refunded now... bah.

I feel very mopey at the moment, I am such a spender and it is killing me that I can't buy stuff! I'm also reading a chpater for my course about debt and borrowing! Maybe I will find out the social motives for my behaviour :rotfl:

Awaiting to be able to withdraw some winnings online from the Grand National today to pay off the Credit card. Also over the weekend I've some ebay stuff ending which have bids on them, so that's another wee bit hopefully. Getting there slowly but surely fingers crossed.

  • So a quick update from me! I have paid off another £1060 to make my new total.
    #041 £4,430.89/£16,500

My goal for this month is to contact Payplan who I have a Debt Management Plan with and get full and final settlement figures for the 3 remaining debts that they are dealing with. I should be able to clear these debts when I am paid at the end of April. This would then only leave one remaining debt which is from the Bank of Mum and if I keep up the current momentum should be able to pay off everything that I owe her by the end of the year. It is amazing to think that by 2015 I could actually be completely debt free. That will be time for a real celebration although I am planning a mini one once by DMP is completed!
