    afternoon all.
I haven't been online for afew days as been working so I've just caught up with everyones posts.

So a couple of little milestones for me today.
my overall debt has gone down into the next thousand.not by much but it's still a great boost to see it.my debt hasn't been this low for years :j:j
also,I think my debt paid has gone over 10% :j:j
On another note though.when I was doing my sums I reolised that I had been deducting the amount of money being paid from my bank off my debt.but because i'm paying interest on some things this is not the correct amount.have I been doing this wrong?
    #150 £853/7713.
    thankyou.

    Hi everyone,

This is my first payment post! I had a very busy month in March - went to Amsterdam for a weekend with some friends, and also popped home to Ireland for a few days.

Everyone seems to be doing quite well this month, it's great to see!

Hi definitivefreak - sorry for missing your first post, I think we cross posted, and I didn't catch it. Haven't been able to get on the thread since Monday, so have got you now! You're number 183!

P.S. are we really 1673 posts in already

I am so pleased to have been paid, no payments yet though. Still don't know what my pay rise is :(

Also getting a little anxious - I forgot to update my car's registered address. I renewed my tax disc online, and it went to my Mum's, so she forwarded it on. It's still not arrived 12 days later! How long should it usually take for a 2nd class letter to be forwarded? Do they maybe have something in place that means it can't be forwarded?

I'll probably bite the bullet and go to the post office for a replacement on Saturday (£7). I am ok to drive the car up to the 12th, but then it's illegal.
  • Hi everyone

#153 here with a long overdue update

Things have been tricky & I'm making rather slow progress

    £443.18 / £9790 = 4.53%

The downside is that only part of my total is on 0%, and I cannot do anymore 0% transfers, so I'm still paying approx. £110 interest each month, hence not really making much progress.

My total is now £9572 which means that I've still only paid off 2.2%

    Rubbish, huh?

On the bright side, I'm still using my spending diary & am monitoring my spends using a spreadsheet. It's quite an eye-opener that, isn't it? Rather than just logging what I've spent for the last couple of months, I can now see exactly what I spend for each category... I can clearly see that I am consistently spending more that I earn each month

    Baaaadddd news

How can I make extra payments when I'm not meeting my current commitments. Scarey. But if I am going to get myself out of this hole once & for all, then I need to sort my life out!

Well done to everyone who is making super progress - I'm still reading regularly & you're all inspiring me to sort things out

Ugggh documents should be sent recorded delivery.
It should have arrived by now so you may have to report it as stolen to the police to get a crime reference number amd then get a replacement.

Kickuptheasstime, haha love the name, what are you spending with? Cards or cash? Using cash will reduce your spending because it's real money and you won't want to part with it.
Do you have a set amount of 'spending money' allocated for the month? You need to know how much apending money you have otherwise you'll just spend, thinking you've got money left when really you haven't.
