Raggydoll - I know exactly what you mean! I posted on the mortgage/houses board about exchanging on a property before it has been built. I got loads of self righteous replies about how I should be dealing with my mortgage first/ I might not get one blah blah blah. I didn't ask that! And I have my mortgage in hand thank you very much!:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

I posted in a different section asking about lowering my overdraft limit and if that will trigger nationwide possibly taking it off me and showing as a new request for an OD on my credit info...
So far i have got two posts back basically telling me my OD limit isnt a spending target etc and sounding a bit judgemental...
I only wanted the advise so i could lower it a bit so i have some as an emergency but im not going to be tempted to spend it
It was only a thought i had to help me and see if it was viable.. but I just got abit of a lecture..
even though i said in my original post im trying to get out of debt and how ive done so far etc...
sorry rant over... but does anyone else have this issue with people on here!
Also does anyone know the answer to my queries
I very rarely venture off the DFW boards as I find the other boards are quite judgemental. I once asked a question about damage a tenant had caused in my property and all I got was ranting about how I was another landlord not wanting to cough up money for repairs!!! I would happily pay for repairs if it was needed but not when it is damage caused by the tenant!!
I like to stay here on the cosy DFW boards!!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

My debt is more than £15k so have set a target I want paid back this year, there is no way I could clear 15k in one year, think I will be on the thread for a couple of years to come! Hope this is ok?!?
Yes, this is fine, we have quite a few continuing members and I'm sure you're not the only one intending to carry forward... We never say no to someone trying to get debt free

Unfortunately there are some really self-righteous and horrible people when you wander into the big wide forum world! I don't get it either, I'd think surely life is a little bit easier if you don't go about making it a mission to upset people? We have a really lovely group of people here, which makes such a difference!
I know someone on here did warn us last year about lowering overdrafts being treated as a credit application. Not all banks do this (HBOS and RBS don't), but I'm afraid I don't know about nationwide.#174

Hi GunWharf, is it possible for you to let me know your total amount paid off, something along the lines of £1000/27890? I am trying to avoid adding it up on people's behalves as it becomes easy for me to make mistakes and mess up your totals.0 -
Planning to pay off around £100 tomorrow, going to do some sums tonight!
April will no doubt be quiet though, work is quiet, and car insurance is due early May so will need to keep things back for that! Oh well.
Hoping to get some good news on the job front which will mean a more steady income (around the same money, but more reliable!)0 -

I'd be very interested to know how you could exchange on a property without a mortgage already in hand; it's part of the information required!0 -
I should've just asked here!! You all are much nicer and helpful..

Hi
I've paid off another £505.15 today
£949.47/£11,900 = 7.97%
Not sure I can make up the remaining £250 ish to make it to 10% but if I'll try my best.
Have decided to continue rounding down on a Friday but will put the money in a savings account until the end of the month, as I was left with 61p in my bank for 2 days before payday. At least this will offer me a buffer of about £30-£40, just in case.
Got a few policies that mature this year and also tax refunds so am optimistic to get the balance down. I made an attempt to claim my PPIs back when I lived abroad last year but need to send SARs etc so will get cracking with these too.
Happy Friday everyone :-)A vision without a plan is just a dream.0
