That is a result rebooties. If they say it's legit then just accept it.

I rung the bank to see what the payment was for and they told me it wasn't a mistake and it was a refund of a ppi claim that went back to 2012 and that there is a letter being sent out to explain it. I checked through my bank statements and I was paid £1400 in 2012 for a ppi refund so I don't understand why they've given me more, I'm not complaining though lol. I've used it to pay off some of my credit card and my overdraft so at the moment I owe about £700 I will know the exact figure once the payments have gone through.

Well I haven't been able to pay off any of my debts as my pay didn't go into my bank account last Friday, or on Saturday as promised  Seems they used my old account details for my pay for some stupid reason, considering I changed my accounts about 6 years ago!

To top it off I got a bill from my catalogue this morning, even though I paid it off in full last month. It's only for £5 though (that's including interest) so I'll go and pay that off and have done with it. Not even going to bother arguing over it, haven't the energy to TBH.

That's brilliant, thank you! I never expected to pay it off this quick and when I joined the challenge I was going to pace myself and pay manageable amounts until Christmas. But when I started something fired up inside and I cut back wherever I could. I know not everyone is lucky enough to be in this situation. Everyone's different but remember all payments count and it's a step in the right direction. Never lose hope. :)

Absolutely! It's about finding what's right for you in the end. I'm always very jealous of people who know how to scale right back and save for things in a matter of minutes (or what feels like minutes to me!) but if you can do it, then why not?!? Never a bad thing to be reminded of what you're capable of, and now you'll know what extras you can scale back on in future when you want to save for a big treat :)
  • Another little payment for me :) and I am going to cancel sky TV and get netflix instead and also get rid of Home start part of the AA cover. I use my mums car so if it doesnt start i can use her home start! should save me a few pennies..
