Hey Guys

need some assistance if anyone of you have faced similar issue. I placed 3 orders from tesco direct in last 2 weeks... as i moved to new address i updated my new address first parcel came to new address. 2 went to old address somehow

I am not sure how this happened and the old address must have stayed as default for some reason
now both package are over £1000 and high value bulk goods

First tesco said they will do everything they can to find but have now raised their hands

Tracking for 1st shows : delivered through letter box which is not possible as its quite big n they are waiting for driver to come back from holiday and ask why he choose that when selecting on PDA(i said i still cant accept that as theres no signature)

2nd: one shows signed n delivered but wit the name thats not known to anyone and the person staying there has told me he himself open the door and refused delivery as he knew its my name and i dont stay there anymore however tesco is now saying they cant do anything as thats the address on order and it shows delivered and signed

What should i do from here... i did go to police on christmas eve but the officer said ask tesco to make complaint as u shouldnt be doing it....

Courier : Yodel

Did you change the address before or after ordering the goods?

It really depends what is on the order that you confirmed. If you put the wrong address then what can Tesco do? When did you update the address and you did make sure it was all correct before ordering?

You seem to indicate it was ordered under the old address 'by default' often companies have main addresses and you can add extra but have a main 'default' address (amazon, PayPal for example) it's up to you make sure you choose the right one or delete ones you have no use for.

This is going to be key. Just to confim:
    You ordered three parcels
Parcel 1 went to the new address.
Parcels 2 ad 3 went to the old address

    Is that correct?

If so, on what dates did you change the address, order parcel 1, order parcel 2 and order parcel 3?

Finally, what does the email confirmation received from Tesco say for each parcel?

Does the confirmation email have your new address on?

Be very nice to Tesco, particularly if you didn't delete your old address and put new address as default.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Also it might be an idea to login to your account and see which address they currently hold for you.
  • I had a similar issue with Tesco once when their system defaulted to my old address. Seems not to be an isolated problem.

    Hello

i just logged in and it shows both address... however the issue is the person who stays instead of me has confirmed that he rejected the delivery

however the driver has updated a signature which cant be read as well

how were u able to resolve it ?
  • Ask for a POD and see whose name signed for it. Its a small hope but if they are dumb enough to put their proper surname then you can prove they did sign for it and go after them, especially as they lied.

    Hi

1st package worth :£1100 has no sign .. tracking says"posted through post box" which i can surely fight as the item cant go through the post box but they are saying driver is on holiday and we are sure he delivered it properly but must have selected wrong option on PDA

am sure i can still fight on that they it doesnt matter as they dint take signature

actually i just managed to speak to the person who refused delivery of 2nd package. He was asked by the driver to sign it and upon asking why he wanted signature he was told so that it can be returned to the sender
