if anyone is after a bargain my Mr Ts has party tubs of haribo down from £5 to £2 with a 2015 date on, i stocked up for Halloween and Christmas:-)
60% of Christmas presents now done thanks to the sales, wrapping paper ordered and when it comes everything's being wrapped, labelled and boxed :-)
  • Back to work today :( makes me grumpy just thinking about grumpy sale shoppers, I think it makes me grumpy because I don't see why people get so grumpy when shopping. Will pop into sainsburys to check the price of a Turkey.

Stay safe and wrap up warm in this ghastly weather.

I'm pleased to hear that a successful Christmas was had by all xx
  • Am here, fresh from summing up 2013's Christmas. I haven't yet hit the sales as the entire house is thick with lurgy, but if last year is anything to go by, I'll find my Christmas magic in bits through out the year ahead.
I don't intend to lurk as much as last, but can't promise ;)
  • Found you all!

Posted this last night on the old thread :-

"Hi everyone, hope you all had a great Christmas!

Just in time to wish Pigpen a Happy Birthday xxx

Had a lovely couple of days with DH,DD and mum, visiting DS and DDIL in N Yorks. It was their first time hosting Chrismas ( usually they come to us ), and they managed really well. We all had so much fun, and it was lovely to see mum so happy that we were all together for a few days.

Back home now, and DH,DD and I had chance to open our presents to each other - didn't have time before we set off on Christmas morning! I have been very spoiled, had some lovely gardening and crafty things, topped by a special present from DH - a trip to Paris in January, with tickets for Cirque de Soleil - I am beyond excited!

Well now, it is nearly tomorrow, so I'll say goodnight. Sleep well everyone xxx "

Thanks to OMO for pointing me in the right direction!
    Happy Friday everyone xxx

    Debt-free and Proud!
    HI all,

Hope you're all well. Back at work for me today...not that there's any work to do, just manning the office really.

Haven't hit the sales yet. Heading into town at lunchtime but I need to stock up on cold & sore throat treatments. I think, after seeing dad on Xmas Day looking better than he did on Xmas eve, I took a chance to relax and WHAM! the cold from hell descended. Spent yesterday feeling rather sorry for myself.
  • Hellooooooo just made it! thought everyone had run off! lovely shiny new thread, thank you OMO, now, remind me how to subscribe to it? then I can get my daily email with a link. (l love the magic of that).
Quiet day today, DGS1 is at his dads, the Chinese delegation have gone to see other family members in Durham, (city, not jail), so all alone here.
I will relax and enjoy the calm as when they return bedlam will resume. It has been a busy Christmas, as everyone else is on holiday in this house, so the cleaning washing and cooking has fallen to me, but really it suited me, as it is quiet in the kitchen.
Pleased to see lots of new de-lurkers, keep it up, we wont bite. OMO, can you add me to Nov list , 7th. please.
DIL went out at 4 30 yes 4 30 am yesterday to queue for Nexts sale, even l am not that dedicated. Then DS1 went to local football match to watch his team lose, aww. Then I fed them a vegetarian masterpiece (well,....it was a masterpiece for me) rice and pepper stuffed cabbage leaves, spicy carrot and parsnip soup, baked cinnamon apples and custard. Go me.
today they can have chips, (frozen) and beans, (tinned). Coffee is calling , xxxxxx

I have come down with a sore throat  it had to happen. Am going to spend the day in my pjs. Mia will have to wait until later for a walk.

I have been through my Christmas present list and it is so small now I may not bother with the sales.
My 2 are getting money for the sales and a stocking.
I'm not buying my Dad anything yet, I may not be talking to him by next Christmas.
I already have my Gt Aunts present, I bought her too much this year so put some back in the trunk.
My neighbour gets biscuits, and they can't be got until December.
    Dds will get money.
That just leaves Robbie. And I already have Bear with clothes from Argos and the big Mickey Mouse book set for him. :D
