DS is off to a friends Saturday for the afternoon so I will be able to properly get everything out, wrap, tag & bag it all then I can update spreadsheet & make sure that those missing are truly all I have to get.
I have a studio order on route with cards as I "thought" I had a load from previous but must have used them all up so I did a bulk order to cover me the next few years. I also bought a 48m! roll of paper from Costco at the weekend, very god quality & only £7. So roll on Saturday, I think I will also get the boxes of decorations out in preparation for tree day on the 1st.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

My sister has her first Uni interview this week, she wants to be a teacher, so I've got the job of taking her to Winchester! Never been so could be interesting, hoping to get some Christmas shopping done while I'm there, try and get my secret santa done, I got the 1 person I didn't want but I have an idea of what to get them so fingers crossed!
I would advise giving yourself a little more time than you think you'll need to get there depending on time of day as traffic can be awful and the one way system can be a pain if you want to go into the town centre. Not a huge amount of shops but the xmas market has just started so hopefully you'll find some inspiration.
Goodluck to your sister
hope things go ok for your uncle
Sorry things are worse for your nan
Pinksteps I'm browsing the deals but have a list of things I'm after and will be buying anyway so if can get a decent deal on any of those great otherwise if its not on the list I'm not buying no matter how good a "bargain"
picked up some of the 1/2 price choc and the rocky road house kit at the weekend so that's a few more bits off the list.this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
Hi all, long time no 'see'! :santa2: I've been a very busy Christmas Fairy recently and haven't had time to post or catch up i'm afraid!
First of all I don't want to dredge up past disagreements but I just wanted to say sorry for causing bad feeling on our lovely thread a little while ago, as someone said I was just using you guys as a sounding board. Being a mum for the first time is tough not to mention mind-boggling and i'm just trying to muddle my way through. I will try to stick to chatting just about Christmas now!
My Christmas update: I've bought most of my presents now but don't have much time to wrap them so the ones who get wrapped presents will be the lucky ones!I've tuned my radio into Smooth Xmas and put together my home-made crackers today. I bought 2 kits half price about 3 years ago and i'm finally getting around to using them! I filled them with a scratchcard and a little Lindt bear. I bought wiggle a reindeer suit and a lovely stocking with his name on it. I've bought a couple of stocking fillers for him and just need to get him a big present now. We don't want to get too much this year as he has no idea what's going on!
Anyway I must dash now, but I hope you're all ok and Christmas preparations are going well! xx0 -
mandco i'm doing a similar thing with BF deals, have an idea of items we require but won't buy anything not needed! I've got much better at being restrained since we got our redundancy notice a few weeks back, silver lining and all
princesskitty happy to see you posting! Cracker gifts sound good
My Grandma & Grandad told me last week how much we have each for Christmas and have given me the money to buy and just keep to one side (or use she didn't mind actually haha!) I brought some Edinburgh gin and have just been sent the Jamie Oliver offers by OH's auntie and they have some good deals on a couple of items which we would get plenty of use from - carving fork (we don't have one and a normal fork is not easy!!), 7 different cutters & sizes for a range of things and then as it is just over £10 they have a advent offer in which you get 24 small flip jars, perfect for herbs and spices, for £10 and they are normally £3.75 eachThey do have a lovely wooden stacker rack for the spice jars but at £23 each  I don't think so
Feeling quite chuffed as I haven't had to spend anything and they will all get plenty of use. Shame the stacker isn't cheaper as would look lovely in our kitchen but that is just too much!Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Pixtotts that must be so hard for you and your Mum. Such a horrible situation but I hope you won't take it the wrong way if I say that if it has to happen then I hope it happens quickly and as peacefully as possible for your poor Nan.
Well done Pinksteps, fortunately I've never actually fathomed out the whole Black Friday Amazon deals thing but I'm trying to do the same as you with the Grabbit Board at the moment - hope you can hold out.
Lovely to hear from you again PrincessKitty - I bet wiggle is quite a big boy now bless him. Well done on the crackers, I cheated by buying a box of the £2.99 crackers from B&M and then undoing one end and taking the original 'gift' out and replacing them and then doing them up again
It's my Mum's 80th birthday on Friday and DGSs 1st on Saturday so we're having a family get together but after that it's going to be Christmas all the way!!!!It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
PrincessKitty29 Buying the stocking with Wiggles name on it is a great idea. I have a knitted one with my name on it that a relative gave me for my 1st birthday and I still put it under the tree so my mum can fill it!
Pixtotts Thinking of you and your family.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Damn you black Friday!
The bad news is I have managed to spend £30 today that I really should have kept aside for Xmas meats etc...
The even worse news is that I already have my eye on a few upcoming deals - I know what I'm willing to pay, and if they drop below that, they are mine mwahahaha...
The good news is I've made an early start on bday & Xmas gifts for 2015!It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
Well, day 1 and I managed to abstain from anything remotely Black Friday, I do sound sad don't I but it's one of my traits with bipolar...spending.
So today I finished burning the paint off of the front room floor ready to scrub it over tomorrow. Then the rest of the week will be a major clean through to December.
Will have to brave the shops somewhen soon too as I remembered DS has £200 of clothing vouchers and the date is up at the end of the year, don't want to waste them, think I'll be stockpiling underware and PJs.
Sounds like some of you are getting good deals for this year and next.0
