Incidently, my 4 year old had the flu vaccine last year and it took seconds and was over with no fuss - just a quick squirt up the nose and done. He didn't suffer any ill effects and will be having it again if offered this year.0

Oh dear got sidetracked for 5minutes and work on youtube and found this -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s98ANNOnvL4 CHRISTMAS OVERLOAD!!! I think I need to watch it again
OMG, imagine having to put that all away in Jan  very pretty though. I'd love to visit the states at Christmas time to visit the big stores and see the houses all done up. You get the odd one here all lit up, but nothing as extravagant as that x:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

They are in Southampton, he does them for charity every year,Christmas and halloween. My dad used to work with him, they are so clever!
It started because his neice was ill and wanted to do something for the charity that looked after her, he now does it for different local charities each time.
XI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -
PIXTOTTS aww thats fab i really enjoyed that
GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY i hope you dont mind but another question from DD1, do you think £500 spending money for 2 weeks meals, she gets all breakfasts and 5 dinners included so the rest of dinners and lunches and entrance fees to all the different sights will be enough?#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -
my dd4 had the flu vaccine (up the nose) last year.. within hours she had an temp of 40C and had a horrid case of tonsilitus.. was far too much of a co-incidence for those symptoms to suddenly appear like that in my head so she won't be having it this year. (i studied microbiology at college so know how these vaccines work but still) my dd1 had it years and years ago now and she was rather ill the days that followed too.. she's never had it since either.
Christmas planning is plodding onwards... i've got 6 and a half orders left to do... 5 hats and 2 diaper covers (a photographers props) really struggling on pricing items though!Totally debt free wohooo 2014

Morning lovelies
I'm off to the doctors this morning, I think I have a ear infection.
Then into work to start prepping for the Christmas reveal. I'm rather excited I really should be getting ready for work.
Hope everyone has a good day

£500 should be be fine, when you factor in that it becomes about 5,000 EGP, think the exchange rate is better than that at the moment, so she may do better. There are 2 entry fee charges for almost everywhere, Egyptian & foreigner, but the foreign still only equates to a couple of quid stg! Be conscious of the fact that there are some places photos cannot be taken, eg Valley of the Kings tombs if going there. This is purely because everything is so old and the colours are still vivid, they need to protect them. Security guards are very strict on this, have seen them take a camera from someone who took photos. The army are in alot of places and are happy to pose for photos if asked, but don't do it without asking. Most of them are bored kids doing national service!
Go native for food, cheap excellent value, falafel, koshari etc. They will probably try to rip her off in the tourist areas, but it should not be too bad as it will be coming out of high season and they will want to make the sale. Fruit is obviously good value, but needs to be washed carefully
Is she taking a bottle cooler, rather than carrying it in a rucksack? Bottled water is a rip off in big tourist areas, so she will be better off nipping into the local shop (Arabic for water is ma, but the Egyptians say my-eh) and getting it there, costs about 1-1.50 EGPA smile costs little but creates much0 -
HI again, sun is shining and it is warm, (my body is confused, yesterday was autumn today is summer!) Mandco and W-L thanks for the help about GDS school meals, definitely an option to put drink and track bar in bag each morning. What a rip off for the cashless catering! He was as proud as Punch yesterday, he has been selected to represent the school year 7 on open night this Thursday, (along with 11 others) to talk to prospective children and parents, and show them round the school. They have children from each year and the head boy and head girl each do a speech welcoming everyone.
I have put a piece of pork in the slow cooker to have a go at pulled pork, which DGS may like, and l know l do. l may also put a couple of spuds in with it as l love the flavour it gives them. (tummy rumbling already!)
Christmas prep - yesterday l found my cards, and the list of last years senders, so l have made a reminder for the abroad ones so they go in time. Also put a lego torch and a lego pen in 2 of the crackers and a star wars pen in another.
I made advent calendars last year for best friend, SIL and fave coz, and l'm not sure this year whether to ask for them back to be refilled, to wrap the things and give them to them to put in themselves or to wrap them, put them on a decorated fish bowl thingy with strings and dates attached, what do you guys think?
I think l've talked myself into the last option, as the others are a bit 'cheeky'
Off to put out the washing, Mrsl knows how to live the high life, eh?0
