Evening everyone, i opened my money tin today to see how i was doing saving christmas money for my DNs and DNs and DD2 and OH (they can then choose to buy something for house, baby or themselves) and i have enough :T so that is 6 presents ticked off, for the DNs and DNs i have seen on pinterest where you put a toilet roll tube in the middle of a jar fill the outside of this with sweets and then put the money inside the tube, i will then wrap in cellophane with a bow, thought it would be different than an envelope :) but the americans do it so well with the right colour sweets, green and red and white i am going to have to research over here and see what i can find in these colours :)

QUIDSY thankyou for kindle links, have downloaded

ARTHIEN ooh thankyou i will have a look after catching up on here, good luck for the job

FLOWFY did you get the miniature boozes on amazon, did you think that was the best price for them? It doesnt matter where you get the presents from if you see something that suits that person

DOODYGIRL sounds like a productive day :) i love buying presents too

PIXTOTTS now YC did do a good gingerbread one i dont know if they still do it or if it is retired

IRISHROSE wow that is some saving £600 :D

Thank you springdreams, it really is a lovely vase and I bet it would be about £40 in the shops.

freespirit66. I did get them off amazon. a seller called just miniatures. they were delivered today. I don't know how it stacks up against other prices of miniatures but I very rarely see them and I wanted particular ones.

I got - jack daniels, black Sambuca, chambourd, jagermeister, gold tequila and a blueberry absolute vodka. I think the chambourd was the most at £2.49 but I aren't sure.

Arthien - Thanks, it's customer services basically for an online clothing store. Good Luck with yours too :)

Ooh that sounds familiar, I think I may know which company it is! Good luck to you too, it's not easy to find something but we'll get there :)

Has anybody seen the new(ish) Jane Asher range in £land? My mum is an avid baker and always asks for baking stuff for crimbo (last year she got a rolling pin!) and I know she'd love the range of stuff they have, and it's usually quite good quality.

I was thinking of spending a tenner and buy her loads of matching stuff and it means she will get lots of presents - I love buying her loads. When I was a kid we didn't have much money but she always made sure we had amazing christmases so now I'm an adult with my own money I think she deserves to be spoiled!

Not sure if this will be any good to you lulu, but there's an offer in the Sun today, get £3 off a £13 spend in Poundland.

More bloomin rain, why cant the sun come back? my goodness you are all getting some Christmas bargains! I have had to stop as most of mine is done, only the china brigade, Dgs and the hampers left.
I have the slow cooker making soup at the mo. as it is so cold, and then l have a wrinklies pie and pea supper tonight, need to take a raffle prize in, will look in the overstock cupboard, there's bound to be something!

Ooh, what slowcooker soup is it? I've never made soup in mine, though I've always wanted to. Proper tasty winter food, best served with a chunk of fresh bread and butter, nomnom :D

Freespirit66 - I will have to keep an eye out for the YC one give it a sniff. The candy jar sounds brilliant too I guess you could pop anything in the middle really... well anything little or you'd need a big jar and a lot of sweeties :|. My dad loves those foam shrimps sure I could think of something to go in the middle.

Oohh this talk of soup is making me hungry, I love a home made soup :) I kind of want a slow cooker, but would be complete waste in winter as we have an AGA, but we turn that off in the summer so we don't melt as soon as we enter the kitchen, but I do miss slow cooked yumminess...
