Just to let you know I am back! Exhausted, snowed under at work, not a good idea to get home at 11:30pm & be in office at 7:45 the following morning :eek:

this sounds stupid but there isn't any harm in leaving a slow cooker on when I'm at work, right? OH is mad about leaving things on and we haven't used this slow cooker since we got it for that reason!

I've just ordered some Christmas cookie cutters from *ding dong* catalogue (I'm a rep so I get to buy slightly ahead ) and have a list of bits I'll order next time as well Also ordered DD some toiletries that she likes but they appear to be discontinuing, so thats a stocking stuffer!

DD has been baking biscuits today using Halloween cutters so we've just come to the decision she can bake goodies for those over 18 this year and I'll just add a bottle of something Now to keep my eye out for the mulled wine in the shops No idea what to get for kids yet, but DD wants a goody hamper (aka a new storage box for her room filled with pop, cookies, sweets, crisps etc) and I know which book I want to buy her, and maybe a DVD, but I think I'd have to order the DVD from the US unless she mentions something else between now and the end of October

Just wanted to let you know, I read this in a rush and genuinely had visions of you being stuck at work because of snow! I thought, I know it's gone a bit chilly but surely it's not snowing yet! :rotfl:

LULU i have left a slow cooker while i have been out with no problem, lots of people prep in the morning or the night before and switch on while they are at work to come home to a cooked dinner

did see te$co have the tubs of sweets in already quality street, celebrations, mars and a new rowntrees one @£5 each in my local today so will be keeping an eye open for offers

te$co are also doing £5 off a £30 spend on entertainment online including game preorders. using the discount and double up on vouchers preordered a game for ds for the grand total of £0 :j
not sure wether to order him the new disney infinity marvels one too? he has asked for it and is really into marvels but they rarely play the orginal one :undecided
