The Works has a 30% sale online for a couple of days with free delivery on orders £20+

I wanted a jigsaw puzzle tray (19.99) and got the 30% off online but when I rang the shop they said they didnt have the same sale on. So with a few other bits I have free delivery and £3+ on Quidco cashback.

Ebay selling/ declutter going well again this weekend. Got dragged in a charity shop by my 3yr old today (toys in the window). Anyway I have been looking for lego duplo for weeks. Ebay/ amazon etc. We have some but could do with a bit more. Anyway basic tubs on ebay (used) were selling for nearly the same price as new. Today I got a big Duplo box of bricks, enough room to put our existing bits in but it is a complete and very clean (looks barely touched) for £4 . Chuffed! Also DS1 found a meccano tub, again immaculate, pieces to build various vehicles which was only £1 =-O. He spent time excitedly helping Daddy build them this evening. He didn't even notice the big tub I was holding lol. Also got wellies in the next two sizes up for £1.50 each. I do love a bargain!
Will wrap the duplo tub up for Christmas :)
Also this week got some kids jigsaws (perfect condition £1 each) off a fb selling page and a bike helmet for DS1 (£3) as he wants a balance bike for Christmas.

Really don't need anything else for my boys. Still want to buy Woody outfit for baby. Probably a Christmas outfit too. And Christmas jumper/ onesie for 3yr old son. However haven't really started adult gifts. We usually buy for loads of people but hoping to agree with some of them to just do cards.
Also this week, arranged for some estate agents to come and value our house to possibly sell and move this autumn! Exciting times :)

Princesskitty, my baby only has two bottles a day now, but definitely prefers me to do the bedtime one. Usually he turns himself over and puts his head on my shoulder as soon he finishes it. Once he burps he falls asleep. Can justst put him in bed. DH fed him last night and he wouldn't settle. Anyway he wriggled across our bed and only stopped when he reached my folded up nightie. He put his head down on it bless him.
Anyway the newborn stage doesn't last long, take naps, have plenty of pj days enjoy it and don't worry about the rest of the world x

I am going to be carless this weekend, from 10am today until Monday evening, as l am lending it to DGS and his dad to go to Alton Park so l will have to get out early this morning with my list (so l don't starve) lol.
Re soup Arthien, l blend them, but sometimes l leave them a bit lumpy, depends on the type of soup. lf l'm adding cream l blend them smooth, though.
Todays offering will be roast red and green pepper and chilli as there are loads in the greenhouse, and it is a great way to use up the mis-shapen ones.
All this talk about babies is making me broody, l may have to knit a matinee jacket, get it out of my system,
Right, off to get some milk and stuff, then hand the car over.

  • Finally getting a chance to catch up. Hols were very hot, first time I had to deal with humidity there, not great news, on the plus side I couldn't eat, so lost nearly 1/2 stone :)

Kids were beside themselves with excitement, couldn't wait to see what they had got, hilarious, everyone was told about the sunglasses, one pair in each case, but the boys got broken in transit, "but mine were ok as they were in a different bag!" They are such good kids. Can't remember whose DD is going in October, but they have power cuts every day, kids take them in their stride now, but I suggest they take a couple of hand charge torches, you can get them for a couple of quid. All big commercial premises have generators, but the torch will be handy to have just in case. They happen 2or 3 times a day with no idea on time, so u have to just go with the flow.

Did so little while there, read a lot, thank goodness for the light on my kindle!

Was coming back to my nice new bathroom, except it all went wrong when they started it, so came back to a toilet and sink, cried, just what I needed when I got home. Anyway, got home from work on Thursday and now have a bath, shower to be connected next week. Only problem is I have done something to my knee and can't bend it properly, so having painfully managed to sit in the bath, I suddenly panicked when I had to get out as I couldn't get the flex required, you have no idea of the panic, how the hell was I going to get out, had visions of me still being there when the builders arrived yesterday morning, anyway worked a plan and got out. Have to wait until Friday for dr appointment, ridiculous.

Had planned on making more cakes this weekend, but with builders inside and outside, there is dust everywhere and all my bathroom stuff is everywhere, so will have to put on hold for week.

Will catch up reading later, have a good day
A smile costs little but creates much :)
