mrsinvisible sorry to hear about your lack of sleep. have you tried a fitbit flex? not only does it track your steps all day, but it tracks your sleep patterns and amounts of sleep. I have one and love it. xx

    Morning all,
Im feeling very Christmassy at the moment think it must be the chillier weather.
I've ordered OH's main gift this morning.

DD is struggling with her crutches as she has significant co ordination problems but her chair is due today .She has been sick for the last few nights but im hoping its just stress related and will settle soon.

I found this on Facebook [yes I have actually joined the 21st centaury lol !]

I woke up on Saturday thinking it was November! Had Step into Christmas in my head ever since!

I'm so glad I can drive now, it means I can see family easier during the holidays and I can buy myself a Christmas CD to listen to on the way to work and sing to my hearts content!

Princesskitty29 - of to fuertaventura, about 15 mins outside the airport, its winter, i dont exepect a full barage of planes to be flying in and out though.
The day before we fly out is my mums 50th birthday! Need to keep an eye out for a good deal on a hotel or spa day or something like that.

Flowfy thank you very much for the recipe. I always wanted to make my cats food. but thought it would be really hard.

  • Thanks all for your reassurance and advice, I also said this morning it might be good for DH to do some feeds earlier in the day and try to settle into it. To be completely honest (and some might think i'm mad!) I quite enjoy the night time feeds, we come downstairs, settle on the sofa under a blanket and watch a film. Not the whole film in one go of course or i'd never sleep! There were two reasons for DH doing a night time bottle, first is I don't sleep well during the day, I do try when Wriggle sleeps but without much success so it was going to give me a bit more time to sleep at night. The other reason is that DH wants to be involved and to help, which isn't a major reason for doing it but would benefit both of us if it could work. We'll keep persevering. As I said DH has gone back to work this morning - but I am fine. Even managed to have a shower before 10:30! :T I think DH was much more upset this morning it's hard for him but i'm sure he'll get into the swing of it again soon and might appreciate a routine again.

mrsinvisible glad you managed to get a good nights sleep last night, it does make all the difference.

MrsChristmas I agree, Christmas in July wasn't quite what i'd hoped for, I had hoped for a few more Christmassy things. Although not to worry anymore, as we're heading towards the end of August there will soon be Christmas stuff everywhere!

CHRISSYG sorry to hear your DD has been unwell again, I would imagine a lot of it is down to stress as you say. Glad to hear the chair is coming today, I do hope it makes life a lot easier for you all. Love the Facebook pic - so cute :)

lulu 92 I love having Christmas tunes on in the car - great car karaoke! :D

LolaLemon holiday sounds lovely, it's great to have something like that to look forward to when the it all gets a bit grim here in the new year! I'm sure you will be able to find something special to spoil your mum with.

springdreams - you are a complete GEM:dance:I will be grabbing the perfume and this now completes SIL. I think this year is the most organised I have ever been - and I am normally quite organised :rotfl:
princesskitty - Well done on managing to squeeze a shower in, I am sure you will be fine :D You might find napping in the day a little easier once we get more towards winter, I know that doesn't help now but it's not far off.

Brrr I am in agreement with all, it was brisk this morning here and to be honest, it still is. Christmas is on its way :snow_laug:snow_grin
I had a peek on the studio website yesterday, oh my goodness, I hate and love anyone who has mentioned it! Ordering some christmas cards and bits we need (don't look at me with that shameful you didn't buy in the sales, I didn't see any that took my fancy :o:p)
Work is beginning to get a little easier, I also seem to have got myself back in to an organised routine both at work and home (cleaning/laundry ect) which is much better.
Popping off to carry on with some work.

Enjoy you day whatever you are doing :j

    I know right! So excited!

Got some great stocking fillers the other day. I logged into my Top Cashback account for the first time in ages and I had a £10 Amazon voucher that I was unaware of!

One of the best things to get on Amazon is cheap costume jewellery for less than £1 with postage! So far I have bought:
    - A camera necklace
    - 2 globe necklaces
    - a pair of diamante hello kitty earrings
    - moustache earrings
    - an owl watch
    - moustache necklace
    - an owl necklace
    - a kitty cat wraparound ring.

All for the grand total of £9.62!

lulu that is really good!!! I have a November birthday to get for and we only spend around £10, I might have to have a peek!!

Quick update, my first ever studio order has been done :T I have another Christmas present in the bag (3 now finished *punches the air in excitment*:rotfl:) a onsie for my brothers girlfriend! I personally liked the flannel pj's people have mentioned but I don't think she would wear the same! I also got a garland which I have been after for ages for our staircase at Christmas, cannot wait for the delivery to arrive!!:xmastree:

freespirit - thank you :) yes it really does feel like September!!
chrissy - I forgot to send well wishes earlier to your DD, I hope things begin to improve again very soon!!

  • Yes I think that QVCs Christmas in July could have been well, more Christmassy really PRINCESSKITTY!
It felt like it lacked a bit of quality too... although there was a yankee candle show, they weren't all Christmas flavours... Flavours? Scents?!
I'd have preferred to have been shown previews of what we could look forward too or what was only available in America as they sometimes do, with an opportunity to pre order. I'd also have liked to have seen accessories like the lampshades & plates & tea light holders (I have most of the gingerbread man collection in my kitchen & it's kind of become a theme in there now. Even have a gingerbread man soft toy from Shrek lodged on the dresser courtesy of a child's keen eye at a car boot!)
Also, whilst the gift bags & boxes were good I'd liked to have seen plain old rolls of wrap!! A selection of themes to suit everyone, maybe matching cards & stationary?
Personally, I'd have liked a more American reds, greens & whites, candy canes & 'happy holidays' theme because that's my favourite.
Anyway, enough moaning... Maybe the producers at QVC will see this & want to employ me next year to transform the show?!!:rotfl:
Got to better than housework which is what I'm supposed to be doing now!...

...Sat down this time yesterday & watched Planes, Trains & Automobiles.
Love that film & love, love, love Steve Martin x
