Hi all, well I have been AWOL for a few days and I bet you can guess why!!! Baby Thomas was born on 5th August - he was very punctual and came 8 minutes before his official due date!

    Thomas_zps2eac2fb3.jpg

The birth didn't really go to plan and ended up being quite traumatic, but the main thing is he is here and healthy.

Unfortunately since being home I have been hit with a massive bout of baby blues. :( I knew they were very common but didn't realise quite how bad it could be. I've had them for a few days now and am desperately hoping that they go soon as I feel quite awful and can't stop crying. :( I don't feel at all how I thought I would and it's very confusing and makes me feel guilty. Anyway I won't go on about that, just wanted to pop on to say hi and share my news. x

    congratulations he's beautiful

I know how hard the baby blues can be esp when things didn't go as planned/hoped but it does get better. talking about it does help whatever your feeling is nothing to feel guilty about you even if it seems like it at the moment. remember you did an amazing thing and he arrived safe & sound

    belated birthday wishes arthien

took the kids & some friends to the cinema and was a little  at the cost of munchies 2 pick&mix, 4 drinks and a popcorn $30 was rather glad I wasn't paying for all of it.

not much happening on the xmas front as back to school stuff is currently costing a small fortune due to the unexpected extras I have to buy this yr  but otherwise we've had a pretty mse summer holiday

Need to start looking for a xmas eve movie for the kids hamper got most of the usual suspects and its getting harder to find something that appeals to everyone.hopefully there will be something new out but any suggestions for something a bit different?

    hope everyone's ok tc

Evening everyone, i hope everyone has had a good weekend, the wind has ripped the tarpaulin that DD1 and i struggled to put over the conservatory back in february, so we are back to the leak in the roof of the conservatory :( grrr!

MRSINVISIBLE congratulations on your family photo session prize what a lovely thing to win

PRINCESSKITTY yayy congratulations to you both, he is gorgeous, sorry you had a traumatic time, and are now feeling out of sorts, but we will have none of the guilt word, baby blues is a very natural process all mums go through, some have it worse than others which is very sad, but it is definitely not your fault, and the first couple of weeks is very overwhelming too. Please talk about how you feel and dont keep it bottled up it does not make you any less of a mummy, remember we are all here for you if you need to let it all out, sending you lots of hugs and congratulations again x

PINKNFLUFFY hi hope you are well, sorry i dont have any suggestions but i see the ladies have come up with some excellent ones, hope that has helped. What lovely news about your mum starting again that is fabulous news.

I've gone through my Christmas stash to put on my app thanks irishrose and I have stuff that ive brought for no reason and no one but at least I can get organised now and check my phone and think befor I buy!!

You're welcome :) That app is one of my faves :o
I tend to end up with stuff I've bought for no reason also, so this past couple of years I have managed to pass them on to the local Christmas tree gift appeal in our local shopping centre. They have the sex and age of a child/teenager on a gift tag on each branch of the tree, you take as many as you wish and donate a gift for that particular gift tag. 9 times out of 10 I've been able to de-hoard some brand new things we have all received at some stage of the year and given them to that appeal. I actually had a look for things like that today and set them aside for Christmas :)

Two of the Christmas films I have managed to buy on DVD for this Christmas:j

We watched these last year on the Christmas 24 channel and we loved them and have only saw them once so managed to buy them so we can "properly" watch them this Christmas.

I have a list from that channel but unfortunately the DVD's are VERY hard to find :( Will just have to remember to record them all this year:o

  • Thanks irishrose its smellie sets. I've various ones but I'm not overkeen on giving them so no idea why I brought them!!!!

Dd who is 9 says nativity 3 is in cinemas this Christmas - I assume it must say so in the adverts in the nativity 2 dvd. I think I'll do a listdof Christmas dvds next. As we mightnot find any new. I did buy the home alone box set and that had 4 dvds in I didn't know they'd made 4.

I'm sloping off on a Groupon spa day and night which I'm looking forward to. Glorious sunshine right now fingers crossed it continues.

    Hugs to all x
