good morning, hope everything is good here!
Do any of you 'do' o2 priority moments? if so , pop down to Halfords and get the free car wash kit, bucket, sponge and 1litre of car wash and wax. It is going to make the start of DS2s 'silly stocking' and the colouring pens from Smiths will go into DGDs craft selection, along with last weeks loom band kit.
Why is it, that when l was working, l had to cram everything into the weekend, and now that l have 'retired' l can't get out of that mindset? l feel so guilty if l am sitting down before 5pm on a Saturday!
I'm waiting to Skype the nibs today, then its out with DD for a mooch round the sales 'tails' see if there are bargains to be had.
Tomorrow l'm off to Blackpools air show with DGS, his dad and the grandma sister, taking in a visit to her DGD1 and her new baby, aaaawwwww. on the way. (possibly visit Primarni and poundworld too).
Almost forgot, got a phone call yesterday to say l had won a prize of a photoshoot for family in a local photographers studio. The free photo will make a fab present for DD.
Now off to start the day with coffee.
  • Hope everyone is well. I still haven't caught up yet, but have the excuse of having no internet connection for last 2 weeks whilst we were in the lakes.

I'm after some help, I am putting together a hamper for my mum & soon to be step dad, the only thing I have so far is the Bates Motel season 1 box set. They are both big Hitchcock fans, and I want to theme the hamper to this, but still a couples hamper. Hope that makes sense!

I've browsed the hamper threads, but nothing really relates to this theme! Help!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

    Knife block?!??!?!

Shower curtain! (I think I've seen one with blood spatters printed on it)
    Bird feeder/bath
    DVD of 'The Girl' http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Girl-DVD-Sienna-Miller/dp/B007V1DNPA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407687498&sr=8-1&keywords=The+girl
    Telescope (Rear Window)
Tickets to see 39 Steps (always good deals for this show) and take a trip on the central line to Leytonstone station. Some Hitchcock murals there, plus that's where he was born.
    Trip to Jamaica Inn (Cornwall?)

Got hubby on the case too, so might come up with more ideas...

  • Hi all, well I have been AWOL for a few days and I bet you can guess why!!! Baby Thomas was born on 5th August - he was very punctual and came 8 minutes before his official due date!

    Thomas_zps2eac2fb3.jpg

The birth didn't really go to plan and ended up being quite traumatic, but the main thing is he is here and healthy.

Unfortunately since being home I have been hit with a massive bout of baby blues. :( I knew they were very common but didn't realise quite how bad it could be. I've had them for a few days now and am desperately hoping that they go soon as I feel quite awful and can't stop crying. :( I don't feel at all how I thought I would and it's very confusing and makes me feel guilty. Anyway I won't go on about that, just wanted to pop on to say hi and share my news. x

Huge congratulations PrincessKitty - glad Thomas is finally here safe and sound. :j Baby blues may be being made worse because of the traumatic time you had but please keep reminding yourself that it isn't something you're doing, it's something that's happening to you. I hope they pass very soon and you can enjoy your lovely new son. :)
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • He is a darling.

I don't know what to say about the baby blues. I went to the docs and he said I had no self esteem and when I got home I burst into tears to oh and said "I haven't even got any self esteem" I can laugh about it now but it wasn't one of my high lights! !!

I've gone through my Christmas stash to put on my app thanks irishrose and I have stuff that ive brought for no reason and no one but at least I can get organised now and check my phone and think befor I buy!!
