Evening everyone, its been flipping hot here today, DS went to take me strawberry picking (one of my challenges) and we drove there and it was blooming closed, so that was a wasted journey, i thought it was funny whilst driving there that the last time i picked strawberries the kids were really young, we used to go every year and here was my DS taking me :D

GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY oh thanks ever so much for that, i will let DD1 know, yes she booked her flights last week as well as she has been watching for a while and they shot up a bit. Oh what a shame you waited for your uncle and they were an extra 80 pound :(

RUTHHONEY oh i have wondered from time to time if you got your new bike, wow it looks fab! I hope you get some lovely trips out on it this summer. I can send The 12 days of christmas on to you when i have finished it if you like. I bought Calling Mrs Christmas for DD2 last christmas and am still waiting to borrow it haha. Oh thanks for the code i might pop on and have a look need some PJs for DD1 for the xmas eve hamper.

OMO they are fab! its a shame we have to have a big heavy metal lead holder (the ikea paw one) because ours has leads and harnesses being a husky otherwise i would have had one off you. I am sure you will do really well with them, good luck!

    BEG/CAZ thankyou x

I had to go all the way to Bournemouth to try out some bikes for size! There was nowhere nearby that had any possibilities yet alone a range of a few to see which suited me best. So hubby took a day off work and we got the train down to a shop down there which had 5 possibles. One was a 750cc and was GORGEOUS! But when I sat on it, I couldn't reach the brake with my right leg. To push down on it, I would really need to stretch my leg, which isn't good with a brake, obviously! They did say I might be able to get something welded to the brake lever to extend it, but it's not something the shop does there. As tempting as that was to try, if it didn't work, we'd be back at square one. The two 250cc Drag Stars had exhausts which sat out too far and my leg would be touching them, so potentially I could set fire to another pair of trousers! And the 250cc Virago was just a smaller version of what I'd just sold-same colour scheme and all-so felt like a step backwards. The Shadow was my second choice and sitting on it just felt right. It's heavier than the old bike, and the controls are slightly different, so I've got to get used to that, but that will come naturally soon enough.

If anyone else wants the book first, then I'm happy to get a copy sent through my library. If not, I'd love to read it when you're done. No rush as I just collected 7 books from the library on Friday!!! All my orders seemed to arrive within a week of each other. Got some Ali McNamara books to read (not read anything by her yet, but looks like my type of author) and the new Lucy Diamond one. Something with Italy in the title?

Zavvi also has some good priced onesies. Hope the code still works!

Sorry for the rambling. And the bad spelling! Autocorrect is going nuts tonight. Maybe I'm too tired to type properly. Hopefully I've made some sense...lol!

    Night all!

    Xmas Saver!
    I have sold 2 dog hooks :D

I make them to order, so if anyone wants one just pm me.

Dd had a look at my Sharpie last night and said it isn't right, one side has more ink than the other. So that may be why I am having trouble writing with it. I'm going to get a new one today. :D
I may also invest in a stencil. It would take the fear out of ruining them at the last stage. :rotfl:

belated happy birthday drops of jupiter, i hope you had a lovely day

omo the sign hook looks lovely,

    hope all are well
good luck, positive thoughts, hugs and health vibes were they are needed.

weekend was so busy -DS2 is doing DoE so we had 2 different days of activities that he needed lifts to and from, our shopping, mils shopping, local school fete, older DDs round at various points during the weekend followed by nagging DS2 to do some homework once he got back sunday evening. I almost feel like the weekdays will be a rest LOL (dont think this week will as it looks just as busy.)

i did buy christmas at Rosie hopkins sweet shop by Jenny Colgan at the school fete.

I sometimes wonder about my mind.. just read this and pictured people hanging their dogs up on the hook.. and thought it would have to be a big and strong hook to hang my girl up LOL

Big ty for the birthday wishes :D got dd4 home today.. she picked some lillies yesterday and her hands all swelled up and were very itchy. sorted that with antiseptic and antihystimines.. shes woken this morning with her face all red and blotchy :S hoping its just the reaction making its way through her system and not slapcheek.
So bday plans are on strike a bit just in case its the reaction. Got some lovely bday pressies.. lots of vouchers, a very snazzy bright pink camera bag (from usa, sat in customs for ages! lol), smellies and new funky socks, a heart shaped wooden sign which says 'always look on the bright side' (it was our wedding song, nice to know my brother remembered lol) and queen of crafts book oh and lots of alcohol and chocs.. naughty family.

I'm sat here writing a pattern to knit up an elsa (From frozen) doll. debating if to embroidery some snowflakes on the cape or go on a hunt for embellishments. decisions huh!

Belated birthday wishes for dropsofjupiter and many happy returns to msgigglewick :bdaycake:
Was a lovely sunny day here yesterday so we spent a couple of hours at the allotment planting the last of our seedlings. Can't wait for it to all be in full bloom and ready for harvesting :D
We went out for tea last night also with a couple of friends as we didn't fancy cooking, had a lovely meal and we were both stuffed. Scampi & chips for main and chocolate fudge cake with ice cream for pudding, yum yum :)
I sorted the spare room out this weekend and finally got myself up-to-date with the list in my christmas binder so I know what we have actually brought for people. Birthday presents are bagged ready, just need to wrap them up and get another couple of bits for OH and we also need to find something for his brother and my brother.

Work is quite slow today, so annoying when the weather is this good and I could be doing all the paperwork that is needing doing at home and the office

ruthhoney - thank you, I will have a peak online and see if there is any that take my fancy. Also will have a look at the PJ's as I am doing a few pamper syle hampers at chirstmas (I think it might class more as useful things but I'm going with pamper hamper sounds better :rotfl:)
    OMO - they look fab!!

Sausages and veg for tea :)
