Second coat of paint now on. Didn't take as long to dry as I had feared. Next step is the really frightening bit. Decorating them

    Hey everyone!
So sorry it's been so long since I last popped in here. I've been so busy the past few weeks. Got a huge list of things that need doing still, but I couldn't carry on getting so behind on my Christmas peeps. Hope you are all doing well.

Firstly, thank you all so much for the birthday wishes. They are very much appreciated! :D I had a nice day, even though the weather wasn't that great and I was determined to have a BBQ. Only a few people made it (same day as Father's Day, so a lot of people were out for lunch already) but it was good to chill out and I got spoiled with some wonderful presents. My wonderful hubby bought me a new motorbike!!! :j It's a black Honda Shadow 600cc. I've only ridden it a couple of miles so far because I didn't have my new bike trousers, so had to put my old burnt ones back on. They still smell of burning! New ones arrived last week while I was away, so I can ride again and get used to the bigger bike, finally. How crazy is this, though...I had my last pair made about 9 years and since then I'm 4 stone lighter, but yet my hip measurement hasn't decreased. :( It's very annoying! No wonder I'm not really dropping dress sizes on my bottom half.

The 12 days of Christmas book is also on my wish list, but I can get it from the library if it's worth a read.
Speaking of Christmas books, are you enjoying Calling Mrs Christmas, princesskitty29? I loved that one! She's bringing out a new Christmas book-I think in August. And I had a tweet from Chrissie Manby the day before my birthday. :D I love her books and that made my day. There's a new Sunlounger collection just come out on kindle if anyone fancies a non Christmassy read. They're a collection of short stories based in various cities around the world, all written by great authors. I'm still reading the first one, but it's good.

What is going on with the Sky boxes at the moment? I was happy that I had a never miss email from Sky saying season one of Wentworth is starting this week. If you remember, I was gutted that all my programmes were wiped as I was just getting into that series.

Bought a Christmas present on Zavvi earlier. They've got some women's Christmas pj's for £6.99-3 designs. Had a 15% off code for clothing emailed to me yesterday which should've expired already, but was still working at lunchtime today. Brings them down to under £6. CLO15 if anyone wants to get any. Don't forget cashback sites too!

I wish I could donate blood too, but I had a blood transfusion after my bike accident in '98 so they won't let me. I'm on the organ donor register, though.

Thanks for the tip about the luggage stickers in tesco. My suitcase is on it's last legs, so I'll be collecting these to replace it.

Newthrift-Primark had some handbag organisers a while ago. £3 each I think. If not, amazon have some too. More colours on there, I expect.

Dropsofjupiter-happy birthday! Hope you enjoy the day.

I think that's me caught up now. Hopefully life will calm down a bit and I can keep up to date in here. :)

I'm not overly happy with the writing, but for a first attempt it's not too bad.

A nice first effort OMO. The lettering is a bit wobbly but better than I could manage. Maybe try practicing on a plain board till you have it mastered. It's how cake decorators get a steady hand when writing in icing or chocolate.
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Evening everyone, its been flipping hot here today, DS went to take me strawberry picking (one of my challenges) and we drove there and it was blooming closed, so that was a wasted journey, i thought it was funny whilst driving there that the last time i picked strawberries the kids were really young, we used to go every year and here was my DS taking me :D

GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY oh thanks ever so much for that, i will let DD1 know, yes she booked her flights last week as well as she has been watching for a while and they shot up a bit. Oh what a shame you waited for your uncle and they were an extra 80 pound :(

RUTHHONEY oh i have wondered from time to time if you got your new bike, wow it looks fab! I hope you get some lovely trips out on it this summer. I can send The 12 days of christmas on to you when i have finished it if you like. I bought Calling Mrs Christmas for DD2 last christmas and am still waiting to borrow it haha. Oh thanks for the code i might pop on and have a look need some PJs for DD1 for the xmas eve hamper.

OMO they are fab! its a shame we have to have a big heavy metal lead holder (the ikea paw one) because ours has leads and harnesses being a husky otherwise i would have had one off you. I am sure you will do really well with them, good luck!

    BEG/CAZ thankyou x
