Mrs M I'm intrigued about the bead bags, can we have a photo (large) please? I've been "thinking" about getting the sewing machine out for about 10 days (I'm hopeless at the mo lacking motivation) I'd like to make a white doorstop for my new bedroom, I've googled a few ideas but that's as far as I've got! xxx
Mrs I oh my word the ritz afternoon tea sounds amazing! will have to try and do that. And the ripper tour, defo need another trip to "the big smoke" weird cos I've spend 49years never fancying London, now realise what I've been missing. It'll be great to see your missing grandnibs won't it, it's ashame DGS1 can't make the trip with youbut then again the other two might enjoy having you all to themselves. Hopefully this time next year they'll be packing for fabulous, amazingly, wonderful job prospects in the uk (fingers crossed). I've had a lazy day today, am thinking I may copy you tomorrow and have a thinking day
Lots to ponder. One things for sure, I'm wasting my time doing a to-do list as I've had the same one rolling for the last week or more! xxx
tin can oh my lovely such very sad news. Fingers crossed a perfect house comes up very soon. You are in my thoughts and prayers xxx
b_e_g so glad the abs have kicked in ( poor choice of words) and hopefully the pain has eased after the initial injection for your heel. You and me both need to make a pact to bob in more often, I think I've got out of the habit with the recent goings on. But we can try can't we xxx
Linky hey my 'deer' friend slow down. Please stop and be kind to yourself. Hope FM has brought a smile to your face this weekendYour BF is still very much in my thoughts and prayers

Your poor BF and their family must be going through so much, I'm certain they are glad of your supportHope Altrinchams win today brought a smile to your face- going to penalties was blooming nail biting tho wasn't it! I didn't realise you were so close to me, but you must be

Hanley I'm delighted that your invites were appreciated! makes it all worth while. I've got the design for DNs and have told her they will need to go out at the end off the month (before we go to Menorca) but then I've not lifted a finger- I will be last minute again- typical me. I need Linky to organise my days for me
DSs birthday weekend sounds perfect, mine would have loved that xxx
Peppa how sad to have lost your BF so early in life. Stories like this really make you count our blessings don't they. Sending a big hug (not a JJ bear hugI will leave that for her. Your poor DH too to have lost his aunt, so many of our lovelies seem to be having a tough time at the moment. Your flowers sound beautiful, more personal I think too than the usual wreath. Thinking of you xxx
Dropsofjupiter you superstarthank you so much for helping my SFAM aka Freespirit you've made such a difference

Festive Princess I'm here! bad Nanvows to do better. Hope the wedding was perfect. Must say you are looking amazing, love the wig, it so suits you and have you shed a cheeky few pounds too? xxx
Well in the house of Nan, very little has happened. I've had 4 DH free hours today (love him dearly but did enjoy the break) and spent it chatting (uninterrupted) to my BFF. Was actually feeling a bit guilty that I hadn't used the time cooking or cleaning but then came on here and I'm glad that I am able to spend quality time catching up and putting the world to rightnight night xxx

Hi all
Thanks for all your kind words - I'm still catching up with the thread!
Glad to hear everyone is there or there abouts - hugs to those who need them x
I'm off on holiday in 11 days, stressing my head off as the funeral is the 19th, and I fly the 23rd. Haven't even thought of christmas, so I need to get back on track; I am spending a week with my gorgeous 9 month old niece who can never get enough of me (I'm like the pied piper for kids) and my OH's family, it will hopefully be nice to get away and just forget about life for a little while
Got about another 70 pages left to catch up on...aargh! Oh and the final day of the season (come on city!), and I could do with some sleep too
I'll drop by when I have caught up and I remember if I am Arthur or Martha!0 -
Enjoy the holiday, Martha/Arthur, what will you pack?
Great to see you posting again Nanamia, keep it up!
How was your wedding JJ? mine was lovely. The bride had made favours for us all we each got a soft toy owl with hand stitched face details and their names and date on the reverse. The civil ceremony was lovely, much better than the old 5 minute 'get this over with' it used to be. My Fascinator (oops, not Arnie) stayed put all day, and we (DB,DSIL and I) managed to stay until the first dance, by which time DSIL especially was worn out. Bl@@dy M.E . wish it would go away.
Waiting for Skype, then it is all systems go in the greenhouse and garden, need to start potting up as the plants are getting stressed, then into town for the paper (and the lego) and more compost.
Don't know what to have for lunch or tea, but I shan't starve. Right, washing is done so I better peg it out to dry. play nice, xxx0 -
Glad you enjoyed the wedding MrsI. The favours sound lovely.
DomRavioli So sorry to read that you are having such sad times at the moment.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Hello everyone. No change with BBF unfortunately.
We decided yesterday that we going to buy another caravan. I can't take Mia or Fingers away in the tent. If we get a caravan I could leave Mia in it for a few hours if we decided to go out. And I can lock the door at night and know Fingers can't escape.
So the plan is that we will all ( 3 of us ) put £5 a week into the fund and all the money made from selling ( from this point) will also be added. By next summer we will have at least £750 + sale money. It won't be a flash van ( obviously ) but it will do us.
I sold a skirt on FB this morning, so we already have £8 in the kitty.
I am so excited.
It is blooming freezing here today. And it poured down yesterday. I think our summer has been and gone.
Which is another reason I want a caravan. It is a lot warmer and the loo is inside. :rotfl:0 -
OMO The caravan sounds ideal and it will suit Fingers & Mia nicely. Good idea to put the money from the FB sales towards it - that will mean you will be motivated to keep selling things with the added bonus of the house becoming clutter free! :T
Sorry to hear that there is no improvement in your BBF's condition.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

So pleased you enjoyed wedding mrsi. Favours sound lovely. We are going to a wedding in August and I think the wedding is at 12 noon and we are expected to stay through to the evening do  Is there a shop that sells stamina? Some of the oldies are saying they might only go to the 'day do' but our DS and his girlfriend are only invited to the 'night do' and it would be lovely to spend some time with them socially as we don't seem to get out much (just off to get the violin out
). Fascinators are a much better idea I think as you can always tell who has been wearing a hat earlier in the day as they end up with 'hat head' as DS calls it. He wears a hat for work and when he gets home his hair looks really funny as soon as it has any length to it.
So sorry to hear that there has been no improvement in bff OMO. You go for it - the caravan that is. Brilliant idea. Happy selling and saving
Well tea will be ready in about 5 mins thank goodness as I am absolutely starving. Tonights culinary delight (SW friendly) is pasta with chicken and tons of veggies. DH is taking care of that - he is a gem.
Take care everyone
