OMO your poor BFs DH he must be out of his mind with worry im so glad he has got you, hoping and praying that the tiny improvement grows into a huge improvement, thinking of you all, the stag throw sounds fab
NANAMIA ha im sure you have hidden cameras, i have just spent all evening deciding on what birthday cakes to do DS and DD2, they are 23 on Tuesday! Plus also the Sunday Baking Club theme this weekend is bake something from one of the countries taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest, so have been looking for inspiration, have decided i am going to do a Bienenstich Cake (Bee Sting Cake) its a german recipe, i have all weekend on my own as DD1 is doing the MoonWalk in London this weekend and DS is going as a birthday treat, they are staying in a hotel, and doing the Jack The Ripper tour and going for some nice meals out (courtesy of the Tastecard), so its going to be a weekend of baking i think. Is DH feeling better in himself despite the bloods being erratic? Oh your pond sounds as though it will look fantastic. Love the bedhead, your trip to Ikea sounds funooh well done on the weightloss
MANDCO glad DS isnt in pain now, i did have to lol about the controller bless him

Today is a thinking day, I think I might do this or that, or buy this or that, or make this or that....AKA indecision day. I cannot make my bl@@dy mind up about anything!0 -
Morning!
Its been months since I've been on (apologies!) but I've been so busy; I've been diagnosed with Meniere's and Osteomalacia; my best friend's brother was killed almost a month ago and due to police murder investigation the funeral is on the 19th so had to deal with the family; and with uni and work, I don't know if I'm coming or going!
OMO - hope your BFF is getting there
Just thought I'd stick my head in, I will read the last 128 pages (yes its been that long!) this weekend before the football (come on altrincham/city!) and hopefully will have some better news next week.0 -
Hi all,
Massive hugs to all those who need them. :grouphug:
I haven't really picked up anything Xmassy recently although I did pick up some of the talking Santa's from Argos as couldn't pass up that bargain.
SIL's wedding was on the 25th April and all went without a hitch. Everyone commented on how lovely the invites were which was nice.
It's DS's 7th birthday at the end of this month and we are taking him and DD to Legoland. I think I may be more excited than them as I have never been. :rotfl: We are travelling down on the Saturday and visiting some of DH's friends that afternoon/evening as he used to be based down there when he was in the RAF and hasn't seen some of them for quite a while. Then we're at Legoland on the Sunday (Bought tickets with my clubcard vouchers), and we're coming home on the Monday.
We've been trying to find something cheap to do on the Monday before setting off. Can anybody recommend anything in that area please? We looked at the Harry Potter tour but that is out of our price range plus don't think DD (4) would particularly enjoy it. We then thought about a trip to Windsor Castle but again not sure if it's something the kiddies would enjoy. Any ideas would be greatly received.Savings Account - £0.00

DomRavioli, deepest condolences and health vibes heading your way, sorry to hear things are so bad at the moment.
Hanley hope you all have a lovely time at lego land, weve only been once a few years ago, from memory the queues arent as organised as the bigger theme parks and there is one of the rides you have to get a ticket with a time slot for we didnt know this so missed out. the lego display room is worth a look round if your been on all the rides and stuff. i was impressed with the portraits made from lego bricks. sorry cant recommend other things as its not my neck of the woods.
hope all are wellSPC~12 ot 124

There are some ideas on here, as LVSUE said earlier there is The Look Out, a science and discovery centre that is hands on, it is set in forest so lovely walks too, next door is Go Ape but i think DD is too little although DS would probably love it, and opposite is Coral Reef, a swimming pool with a big pirates ship, it is all on the list. There is also a Duck Tour in Windsor where the vehicle goes on the roads and in the thames, the kids might find that fun. Will see if i can think of anything else.#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -
Freespirit, so glad DropsofJupiter was able to help you with ex and tax problems - your post sounds so much more positive now.
Tincan, so sorry to hear your sad news. I really hope you're soon settled in a new home.
DomRavioli - what an awful thing to happen to your BFs brother. Sending positive vibes your way and hoping that your health issues are soon under control. I used to work with someone who suffered with Meniere's so you have my sympathy as I know how horrible it can be.
OMO, I do hope there is some good news about your BFF soon. My best friend died of pancreatic cancer almost six years ago now but I still miss her every day. She never got to see her lovely daughter meet her husband to be and get married, or to meet her gorgeous DGD. Life can be very cruel.
Nothing Christmassy going on here at the moment. I've decided not to keep buying 'bargains' during the year because it always ends up that I've got a lot of lovely things in store and none of them are remotely suitable for anyone I buy for.
My DH's aunt died a couple of weeks ago - he was very close to her and she's the last of her generation. The funeral is next week and we'll be going but have been looking at funeral flowers. I can believe how expensive they are and they aren't even very nice. Do you think it would be ok to choose a pretty hand tied bouquet instead or would that be disrespectful? We don't live locally to where she lived so we're thinking of getting the flowers and taking them with us on the day so we can see what they look like first. My DH would be devastated if we got there and our flowers weren't nice. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Omo Can you recommend a facebook selling page? I'm selling the cooker that annoys me but it'll be good for someone else.
Will also be selling some lush bits would anyone here be interested? I can give you guys first pick
So today hasn't been the best day I woke up with a headache was sick a while later so went back to bed got up felt abit better had a bath got up popped to butches that was successful then tried to go to asda then the clutch cable/gear selector or something has gone on the car so £60 later we have been recovered home....0 -
