Why post how much?
This is not a willy waving competition..;)
Because the tirade was about those who bought lots of gifts, I did that, but doing that and/or what I spent is my prerogative.
I am sure there are those who spent more, and that is up to them. I am not waving my willy, just answering the first poster.0 -
Me and the good lady dont bother with gifts but to blend in we both nab a book of the bookshelf and wrap it up and give it to each other.
We must have mixed the labels this year as I got a book about crochet and she got one about engineering.
Kids got a tablet each. It was a hudl (purchased purely with vouchers and doubled up clubcard points so didn't cost us a penny).
The games and videos are free to download so will keep them entertained for months/years unlike the £50 furbys, or JLS dolls I saw being thrown about today.
I have not looked on facebook yet but pictures of adults in pyjamas and onesies always make me chuckle - the presents are secondary.0 -

Did you know, the two are not mutually exclusive? Millionaires who spend accordingly at Christmas can spend time with friends and family too0 -

You said you weren't spending loads because spending time with friends and family is MORE important, as if it was a choice between the two. Apologies if that is not what you meant - it sounded as though you were saying that people who have 'a spendfest' don't/can't enjoy time with friends and family.0 -

The hyphen in my sentence was in place of a comma, not "because".Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

The dashin your sentence was not the issue; it was the word 'more'. But I apologise for misinterpreting your meaning. Have a great evening

My 15yrs old has wrecked three laptops after continually picking them up by the screen and breaking the hinges.
So she got a reconditioned hp laptop this xmas...And she told me it was crap and was not using it...
Well i just went and password protected mine and the wifes laptops and guess who is online on a hp laptop as we speak?
She will thank you for it one day!0 -
