Has the ratio of chips to LP been discussed? I've only started playing today and at 300 chips/spin it takes 5-6 spins for 10 LP (1500 - 1800 chips)
at just 60 chips per spin it takes about 9 spins for 10 LP. (540-600 chips)
so going by this, I am 3x better playing on low chips/spin?Baby daughter born 13.2.10 :j 6lb 11.5oz0 -
By a brunch...do you mean a buffet? EDIT Ballys sunday brunch has closed
The Sterling Brunch is still taking reservations I think...it's one of those things we keep thinking about trying bit it is so pricey and the champagne component is of zero interest to us. But I checked and they seem to still be taking reservations until our trip in April.
We've not been to an official brunch buffet before but I think Lesley is a fan and has included some detail in her TRs.
Not sure if this is particularly comprehensive but there sure are a lot of brunch offerings out there.

I was just going by this weeks email from the LVA

Brooklyn Bowl Opening: The original Brooklyn Bowl in New York City was called "one of the most incredible places on Earth" by Rolling Stone magazine and now Las Vegas is set to have one of its own. Aside from the High Roller observation wheel, the Brooklyn Bowl will be the main attraction of The Linq complex at center Strip. Debuting in March, the 2,000-capacity live-music venue, which also has 32 bowling lanes and NYC's famous Blue Ribbon restaurant, has released the initial band line-up, featuring such musical heavy-hitters as Elvis Costello, Jane's Addiction, Phil Lesh, and Steve Winwood. The concert space is smaller than every other major venue in town, except the House of Blues (1,800), so it should provide an incredible atmosphere for concert-goers who want to be close to the action.
Sterling Brunch Closes: After four decades on the Strip, Las Vegas' most lavish Sunday brunch has closed. Bally's Sterling Brunch was offered in Bally's Steakhouse, which is being replaced by BLT Steak.
Better Baccarat: The D downtown is dealing baccarat with a 4% commission. It's dealt on the casino's lone baccarat table and is the only 4% game currently available in Las Vegas. Standard baccarat games take a 5% commission on winning bank bets, which sets the casino edge at 1.04%. The reduction to 4% drops the edge to .6%. 0 -
Interesting - I remember pebbles posting something via social rewards when the BLT Steak announcment was made - asking 'is this the end of the Sterling Brunch?' or similar but I couldn't find anything official about it.
I wonder if it's just a glitch that they are still taking reservations then? Or if they will continue it in the BLT Steak space?Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I have just tried to make a reservation online and it says nothing available within 8 weeks of the date in march I was trying0 -

hmm...strange...I tried this morning and it was offering me plenty of availability on Sundays during brunch hours at least in April...we were considering Easter Sunday...it looks like it still offers it.
Maybe it is starting back up in early April as from 6th April they seem to be showing availablity...or maybe it's a glitch and they haven't killed it off in the Open Table system?Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I'm level 319 and have almost 1 million LP's to spend next trip.0 -
ferf and photome, I was told that Bally's Steakhouse would close for renovations, but when it re-opened as BLT Steak, the Sterling Brunch would still be available.
The way these things change, who knows what will happen. I'm thinking of TI and the Sirens. The performers were laid off for a month, and then called in a few weeks later to be dismissed permanently.0
