Whats the max $ you can withdraw from ATM using british card?
I usually stick with $300 but would lift more if possible (Nationwide card)

it's normally limited by your card provider. Ours are all £300/day per card...for years we thought it was £300/day per account and only found out accidentally that it was per card.

Some ATMs do have limits - a few have quite low limits (the one at Ellis Island used to be $200 at one point) but most will be fine if your card has a £300 day limit.

    This may help

Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Well done on the upgrade. Did you just ask nicely or was is the $20 sandwich?

It was a friend of a friend who knew the manager there but we didn't expect what we got especially as we were comped anyway

We also got access to the diamond lounge where we filled up with food and drink::j:j

That sounds a fantastic way to end the trip at least...but I can imagine it makes it even harder to leave. Enjoy the last day and safe flight home and look forward to the trip report.

It was hard to leave there this morning, had to take the 180 degree view in for onle last time, now sitting at airport:(:A

Thanks NVH. So that hotel is definitely the Venetian??? I really don't want to get there and find that it's the Golden Nugget ;)

Also, I've heard that it's better to go for the usual Luxury-1 King Suite rather than the Venetia Luxury1 King Suite, as it takes a long time to walk from the Venetia tower?

Sorry to quote my own quote, but we fly a week tomorrow :o

sorry, thought Becksta had covered it :)

Can guarantee we are not in the Golden Nugget at the moment!....

    ;)

To be fair, the place has been great. Very hassle free apart from the timeshare people but they are easy to dodge. We are in the Venetian tower and is quick to get down to shop level and get down and out. Lifts never seem busy either. Good deal @ £60 per night on strip!

    Hope that helps :)

Edit: as you can see, there are a few clouds. Weather turns a little at the weekend apparently :/

Looks fab! For our dates, it's £145 per night for a suite.

So this is weird... I used Cromwell's ATM tonight, and didn't get charged at all???

Anyone else heard of that? Withdrew $560, and was only charged $560 - got receipt to verify it too. Weird...
    Shhh, keep that to yourself
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
