We are looking at booking Vegas for next May.

A 4 night trip from Manchester flying with Virgin is coming out at £1000pp staying in a spa suite at the Ny Ny hotel.

Is this a fairly good deal? Has anyone had a spa suite in Ny Ny?

We have found the deal through lowcostusa.co.uk after speaking to them and looking online it looks like a fairly decent company, has anyone booked with them before? They have advised not to book a transfer which was helpful as I didn't realise how close it all was to the airport!

Another option is the Signature hotel - again around the same price. Just can't decide!

IMHO you are looking to early.

Flight only (at the moment) comes in at £800 each which seems very high:eek:

Personally I'd wait until nearer the time and book flights and hotel separately.

I've used LowcostUSa before and got a decent hotel only price.
as I didn't realise how close it all was to the airport

You need to read this thread and then come back with questions

Welcome back! It is sad to come home from Vegas but you can start planning another trip. :)

I do hope you will post a trip report...sometimes the first trip reports are the most interesting...and sometimes newbies notice something others have missed...and anyway trip reports are great fun for us to read between the last trip and the next! :)

Welcome back Misty! Totally agree it is so sad to come back :( I agree with Ferf, love trip reports and especially first timers' report. We're currently in Florida and loving it, although it is not quite Vegas... Tomorrow we're off on our cruise, with the added benefits of being Mlife Platinum members. A bit gutted the new MyVegas rewards were for new bookings only, but hey, such is life.

Don't know who said I would be fine driving, but that was spot on. Apart from the first night here (jet lag, enough said), it has been a breeze! Love driving here, so much easier and comfortable. So... For our trip to Vegas in December, guess who will rent a car for a couple of days at least :j

With 11 days ahead and no Internet to speak of, I am looking forward to catching up when we're back home.

Staying at the MGM Signature. Any idea on resort fees and where is the best place to have breakfast? Thanks:)

Resort fee is $28 per day including tax.

Includes access to main MGM pool complex (which is pretty decent IMHO) and the gym in tower 1 and 3 (was in tower 3 last time and it was just loads of running machines and some weights but always empty).

Resort fee at Venetian / Palazzo is (or was!) optional :)

Also, would it be worth checking / using priceline express like I did? It's quite obvious which is Venetian / Palazzo - see here:

Thanks, but having read a LOT of bad reviews of Priceline, I'm not prepared to risk a holiday this important.

Priceline is fantastic provided you research properly beforehand and know what you are doing. A lot of people don't , mess it up and then moan.

There's a coffee shop in one of the towers you could have breakfast at. Or the long walk to the MGM and the food court or something classier.
Do you mean Delights? We ate there last year and we were both sick for a couple of days after.

Lizzielie, I think that was me. Driving (for me) in the USA is so much easier than the UK and Spain.
I'm glad you found it easy, I always worry when I tell people that.
  • So excited - just booked our trip for 6th December for 6 nights. Staying in the Aria. I will start looking through the thread from page one so i may be some time getting up to speed!!

Other than the usual things to do is there anything special going on in December we should add into our trip?
  • A question for all you MLife pros, please - have I understood correctly that your tier points expire on October 1, no matter when they were earned? I got about 60% of the way to Pearl status last week, so a bit annoying if that's the case!

Funnily enough, I just noticed the exact same thing looking at their website last weekend and tutted quite loudly...we thought we might have a shot at going up a level in October but appears that is not the case...we will just miss out as we're arriving a couple of weeks too late.

It reads like the same thing as Total Rewards has but there it's calendar year so resets on 1st Jan.

You shouldn't lose any of the express comps and other points (they have so many it confuses me) but tier points will reset...looking at mlife if you make a particular tier level you keep that for a year.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
