    Sixth Anniversary
All the helicopter trips go Grand Canyon West (West Rim, where the Skywalk is). But this company does flights with a small fixed wing aircraft from Las Vegas to the national park for the real thing:

It's also possible to get one-day bus tours to the national park from Las Vegas but because it's 275 miles each way there's a long time on the bus and not much time at the Canyon.

Even if you don't do the pre check in, they have self service kiosks that speed the transaction up enormously. We got two separate brand new cars off them last trip, one had 8 miles on the clock, the other had 1. The one we had the accident in had 425 when we picked it up. All their vehicles seem newer than the ones we have had from Dollar recently.

Twice when picking up from TI we had issues with the cleanliness of the car we were allocated. Tony thinks that the creepy man (he really is, he used to work at Excalibur before all the changes.) had it in for us.
I didnt think you could use the kiosks if you had a reservation through a UK agent, because the reference number is different. I remember trying to do that a few years ago and the machine wouldnt accept the code
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

What about the 9 year old girl who blew off the head of her shooting instructor with an Uzi at a "near Vegas" range? Land of the free to give kids Uzi sub-machine guns. If there was any justice in the world, she would have shot her stupid parents, who were behind her filming it, rather than a US Army Vet.

    It was in Arizona.
I don't think the Pro Gun club lets kids shoot.
Mind, when you go there it looks like a meeting place for a white supremacist movement.

Stoneman, it has worked for us the last four times. First time would have been spring 2013. No idea what their policy was before then.

That was my experience last time I tried a kiosk/voucher combo but it's been ages...I think I am going to try it. Because I am scared of change and know exactly where I go for Dollar Express...where do you go for Alamo when you arrive at the consolidated facility?
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Alamo is out the same door as dollar but upstairs instead of down, then follow the blue arrows along the floor....there were loads of Alamo staff about to point u in the right direction, then a guy asked me for my voucher took a very brief look at it and said choose from that row over there

Did you see my post about pink box, think u were going to head there in oct

yes sorry I did see that and sent my husband an email immediately saying change of plans and he replied something mean (but with love) about me and bacon and donuts. :( but it's OK. I am the driver. My car, my rules.

We are totally going - and I am so grateful for the heads up. Also for the info on Alamo...I think we will try it.
