Looking forward to hearing what you think of the Bacchanal buffet. The cost and the queues have put me off in the past, but it might be worth a punt with SR points.

You should try it. I'm not a huge buffet fan as I don't like seafood, sushi or meat that is still red so I always feel I don't get great value from them however I really liked it and would definitely go back. I went about 2.30 on a Thursday and there was no queue.

Things I ate and liked were: fried chicken in baskets (there were waffles too but I don't get that!), brisket and mini gratins and mash, tacos freshly made, mini brisket sliders (my fave as there were excellent), an excellent Asian selection that included beef rendang, a Thai chicken curry, several types of noodles, pork buns and potstickers, pizza which was average but I always find it comforting to have a slice with mashed potato and gravy. Desserts weren't as good as the Wynn but I could only manage a scoop of ice cream and a cookie. I didn't eat for another 24 hours after that so I think it was good value.

brisket x2! I am adding that to the list of things that may sway my husband. The brisket at Silverton buffet is something I think he dreams about. Also potstickers.

I really would like to try it.

I cannot believe they have fried chicken...that is my go-to thing at many of the more mid-range buffets and I just assumed they would not have it.

I am hungry and wanting to go to Vegas now.

I highly recommend this if anyone is in Vegas at the below times:-

    • Saturday, September 6 at Lake Las Vegas
    • Saturday, September 20 at Town Square
    • Saturday, October 11 at Town Square
    • Saturday, October 25 at Lake Las Vegas

    It's currently $15, it's today's Daily Gem on Living Social Vegas :)

Have a great trip, photome! very excited for you.

pebbles - that may be an option to consider...will see how far I get in convincing hubby of the principle...he has just said 'can't you ask them to go first and if Tony says it's *bleep* and not worth it the we can skip it use our points at Sbarro*?' ;)

so...I may have a bit of convincing to do but it sounds good to me!

*they're my points, really, and we ARE NOT using them at Sbarro. :)

Can you use the points at Sbarro? I printed a list of all the places and don't remember seeing it. I like Sbarro :) The Bally's one is a bit fancier than most and pricier, however it's handy for the Platinum. :)

I'm not sure if you can use them directly at Sbarro...if they aren't on the list then probably not...since we normally stay at a CET property part of the trip we can usually get around it by charging to the room so I kind of lose track of where we can use points directly and where we can't. :)

Makes sense. As we aren't at CET property we don't have that option. I do however have about 20 places highlighted on my list where I could use these points! Think we should manage. :rotfl:

2 weeks today we head to Phoenix, then will be in Vegas 4 days later. I can't wait!!

I was just browsing MyVegas rewards. I'm sad to report that Nine Fine Irishmen $25 reward, Monte Carlo $50 reward and Fuel the Duel reward all now require a stay at an MGM property.

This wasn't the case a couple of days ago. Gutted!!!
