Do you mean Fry's? Or Best Buy?
Agree that Target is more like WalMart than Currys...I like Target a lot, always have...it has its time and place and sometimes may have good deals on electronics but not sure it would be my go-to place for them.
I know, I don't totally compare with Walmart but definitely not Curry's. I think either could have a good deal though so I'll certainly have a look at both.
So, should I buy a Tom Tom, or Garmin....or another make completely?
I like Target at South Maryland Parkway because they have a Pizza Hut and they do nice breadsticks lol. Seriously though, I also like their dollar section - the bit with all the bits and pieces. We also sometimes buy some bread and cheese, and soft drinks. I've also bought some kids clothes as gifts...nice bright stuff. Hubby also bought some converse khakis there a few years back and keeps looking but never sees them anymore.0 -

you shouldnt need data to use google maps as it uses GPRS which is free i think
It does to figure out a latitude and longtitude, but in order to convert that into a location on a map, it needs data for the map, or a downloaded map, which I don't think google maps has.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

I may be wrong or on the wrong wavelength but I do use google maps occasionaly in the UK as navigation tool with voice direction on, and AFAIK it hasnt used data.
Just had a google and it looks like your are right, maybe i have been using data then...whoops I am confused
this article says
Unfortunately, Google Maps doesn’t provide a way to get navigation directions offline. You can search for navigation directions before you leave Wi-Fi and continue using the cached navigation directions to get to your destination, but that’s it.
If you’re looking for a free offline GPS navigation app for Android , try Osmand or Navfree0 -

In the past I've bought a SatNav in Target, used it for a few weeks, then just returned it all inside the box with the receipt for a full refund.0

Am I being a bit dim?
I have used Myvegas rewards to buy a couple of hotel rooms and it states full details of how to book will be received after completing purchase. I can't see how to do it, I thought you had to call a number and give your redemption code but cannot see any instructions on how to do this.
Thank you x0 -

MMMM that seems wrong to me, a bit like you hear of people buying clothes, leaving the label on, wearing them then returning0
