Hi everyone, would love to join this group. Not sure what all my projects are yet but i like to try my hand at most things, not always successfully
One of my goals this year is to really get to grips with my sewing machine as its just sitting there looking at me gathering dust:(
so far my list is
1. finish cross stitch sampler for a friend.
2. Complete father sun cross stitch
3. make some earrings ( a new craft for this year)
4. make a raffia wreath for a friend.
5. finish my Helsinki scrapbook
6. make a holiday scrapbook.
7. make a couple of beeswax candles ( new craft again)
8. make a sweet tree (new craft again).
Now i just need to work out flickr, could that be classed as a new craft as I am technologically challenged :rotfl:Success means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash

14 craft projects in 2014:
1. Knitted pigs, made using a personal invention pattern– done (started on New Year's Day).
2. Invent and sell some more original knitted animals – preferably additions to my knitted farm. I sell knitted toys for charity, and I need to add more to my range.
3. Complete my hand-knitted jumper (based on another jumper but made without using a pattern).
4. Needle felting – I have the equipment, need to learn how to do it.
5. Knit a swatch for a huge scarf to send to Wool Against Weapons – to add to the project which will stretch from Aldermaston to Burghfield (this must be done before the end of July).
6. Paper models that move – I have downloaded the templates from Rob Ives website, I want to build as many as possible.
7. Photo albums – I will organise all my prints and classify them, and scan them into my computer. Hopefully this will allow me to make collages and cards out of my old photos.
8. Family tree – this needs to be made into something more visually pleasing. I have written a book on my family history, and I would like to write another one for my Mum who is 81, about her ancestors who had a cotton mill.
9. Try to create a work of art, using materials – not painting.
10. Improve my headboard on my bed – my parents made their own. I intend to add padding and a better cover to my existing headboard, to make it more comfortable.
11. Make an Advent calendar (in paper).
12. Use felt and sewing to make decorations - probably for Christmas, to give as gifts and sell for charity.
13. Make Christmas cards (don’t know how yet, maybe using photos).
14. Knit an advent garland – make one small item for every day of Advent.
I will add photos of the completed projects to Flickr when done!0 -
I've sent a request via flickr.
Just thought of another photo I can upload from last year. Would do that tomorrow except I am babysitting. oops.

What a wonderfully legacy the lady has left.
I would be proud to follow her footsteps and am joining the challenge.
2014 should see:-
1. Tote bags made with washable fabric.
2. Complete family albums.
3. Reignite the silk painting scenes.
4. Raise plants for the local hospice summer fair.
5. Make Boxes for Christmas truffles.
Others to follow.
Welcome to the group. Love the variety on your list. Silk painting is something I have tried and loved so will be really interested to see your projects.0 -
