I have started making story sacks for Church. The total has gone from just a few - I thought - to 32 - then up to 200! Someone has made 3 and I have sewed 7 so 190 to make!

I love the effect they gave to the twisted band sampler - wee reminder



The scallop stitch is out the outer edges and the ray stitches are in the middle where they meet.

I have also been plodding on with the learning sampler and thought I gone wrong, so took a photo, put it up in the learning sampler facebook page and the designer got back in touch within an hour with a reply and a picture of her part - and was very reassuring - hooray for her!

It contains algerian eyes, double herringbone and lattice stitch. Will do these for my wee book once I have finished the band.

Some lovely pictures of the cards and wee bags that have been done.

Was thinking of Soulie this week - she popped up in my facebook page for some reason - I wonder what she would of thought of it all - she was a lovely lass.

Hi Newthrift, yes a knitted one and a crochet one - will have to look to see where I got them-found one 1) knittingonthenet.com/patterns will have to search for the crochet one x have found the site for the crochet one it is called Grandmother's pattern book( free patterns) x
