My good friend (and hospital buddy) has been bedbound for the last 8 1/2 years (she tries to raise awareness by sharing her story, you can see it here http://youtu.be/VH-puNCQxh4 ) managed to stand for the first time in all those years last week. Stars are her sign of hope so I've decorated a little bottle of champaign with gem stars, added a Tag with a message on and added a heart charm.

Love all the crafty in this place - the bags are cute, the crochet is well done, the cards are beautiful, the sacks - wow, the wee quilt - wish I could do stuff like that, you all do wonderful stuff.
I have now completed another band in my twisted band - band 5 - this was all cross stitch.
Band five
and a wee close up for you
Taking a wee break between my samplers to do a wee wedding stitch for one of the girls at work. People may wonder why, when some at work are not good to me - why, it because I am me and I like to.
Need to get my shopping list sorted ready for going out later - sit down and work out where is all cheaper for things - best bargain so far is £2 for 3 bags of sugar.
Keep well everyone

Had a look on Flickr last night, everyone has made such wonderful things, talented bunch
I am planning to do some of my sewing tasks next weekend as my OH will be on a stag do all weekend:( so this will keep me nice and busy.
I did a one loop infinity scarf last night which I was pleased with, this is for my MIL (photo on flickr). With the wool I used for that one (I also have quite a few more balls of the thick wool) one loop as an infinity is actually just right which means double scarves from each 2 ballsand I can do these one's in just 15minutes :rotfl:
Planning to sell a few after the summer.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Since my pincushion, I've completed two quilts which took a bit of time and am almost about to finish a shirt. Will upload photos shortly.
Isn't it funny how 14 doesn't sound like much in January but with almost half the year gone and only 4 things ticked off it suddenly seems huge!January GC 299/300

vikki, your stocking is coming along beautifully. I think your friend will love her present; your thoughtfulness is evident. The wine box will be an intriguing gift.
bexidina, good luck for your wedding. You mentioned beaded bags - I think you meant the bags for beads of courage. I mad some and mrs-moneypenny has done some too. I like the little yellow duck idea. I'll have to have a look at that.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
