The local chippie round here is busiest at lunchtimes. The kids queue for ages
It's the same after school too.
And they wonder why kids are so fat around here *sigh*

Yes that's very true
When I'm back to work next week, the bus will be full of kids with the latest iPhones and iPads and god knows what else. They don't have to work for it like we have to. It all just magically falls into their laps
I don't think I would be so  about it if they didn't take all that to school. By pratting about with them on the bus as they do, they're asking for troubleI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Think I will carry on eating and drinking til Monday, then start my new healthy life - I am thinking of getting the Morphy Richards soupmaker - does anyone already have one who can recommend/not recommend it, and has anyone seen it for a better price than £39.99? TIA
I have one. It is currently sitting in the kitchen with pumpkin, onion, potato (for thickening), onion and celery in it. I love it, got it by converting my nectar points to Amazon vouchers in Sainsbury and have never regretted it. Comes out lovely but it does take some getting used to - I've only hit on the potato for thickening trick recently. One other tip, I go about a centimetre below the minimum level or there is too much for two people. Lovely on a Saturday with the soup maker and the bread maker goingWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Thanks for the reassurance MKS. Did he manage to breast feed ok? And did he have the little snip.
Yes, she did. No,didn't have the snip as DD didn't want to take the chance. She's just over 2 1/2 now and going on 20 she chatters on, her vocab is brilliant. (and yes, I know that I am biased!) We know that she talks with a very slight 'ish' but others don't notice it - they are just amazed at her wide vocabulary/counting ability etc. DD is pleased that she didn't have it done. A couple of hiccups in breastfeeding but nothing that was insurmountable. Sorry if it's tmi!
She and her sister have just gone home after a couple of nights sleepover, oops DGD2 said that they are called 'slumber parties' now!0 -
