  • Evening all, just catching up. Snap Ant that picture you posted with this morning's quiz, I've been there! It was for a documentary I was running on. Strange. And Thick Tom I know that isn't you!

Hope you've all had safe travels today. Luckily I just managed to cross the Dartford bridge earlier before it was closed. Absolute chaos trying to get home :(

I wasted this afternoon crossing London, a city which gave every sign it didn't want to be crossed.

All relevant trains cancelled or delayed, and the delays were usually announced just after alternative trains had left.

I asked the station guard if the train I was running for on platform 4 was going to my destination (so many trains were late I wasn't sure it wasn't a delayed earlier train). He said "I better check" and spent so long doing it he then came back and squinted at the wall display and eventually said " yes it is but you'll miss it now".

    And he was right.

Anybody any ideas how to do some bubbs beef in a slow cooker? I want to do it for when some people come for dinner. They are competent cooks and normally when I attempt beef it turns out like shoe leather :o

We had this recipe Java Beef http://crockpot365.blogspot.co.uk/2008/11/java-roast-crockpot-recipe.html at the weekend and used the leftovers in a steak and ale pie tonight. Seem to have been a success!

We had the Java Beef with rice and Jamie Olivers Chopped Salad btw.

    HE :)

Sounds like a good mix going on there :D

I don't really have a strong accent, well I don't think I do anyways :rotfl: But it's def a Scottish one :D I do notice my DD sounding a bit Invernesian at times though! OH is from Glasgow, although not with a really strong weegie accent (or like the one you automatically think of!) so she's got a bit of a mix going on! Just yesterday she told me she had a sore heid! Did make me :rotfl::rotfl: the way she just came away with it!

I'm lurking...in bed :o just have to say that my favourite saying of DS2 is.......'I'll do it the now' :D:rotfl::rotfl:
