  • Evening peeps

Not been on for a while so would like to say Merry Christmas to everyone and many, many thanks for all the sharing and caring. Much appreciate the info on bargains which I share out to family and best chum.

Brother phoned tonight and said that he had been in Mr T today and was informed that all fresh stuff was going to be reduced the morrow by up to 90% - don't know what time though. Wish I had a blooming chest freezer. Never mind - hope anyone who braves shopping manages to get fantastic bargains.

Hope Santa is good to everyone. xx

Ooh I'll be pinching these idea's I think.
    Thank you
Stay and play though please :D

Thank you lots! Am not very good at being sociable, and less good when there is tension, so I stay in the background. Hope you like the pork recipes, cooking is my favourite hobby.
  • Well, I've got all the presents done. I bought nearly all of them a few weeks ago, and wrapped them at the weekend.
I just had one final one, to make. My niece is mad for Nando's, so I've got her a gift voucher.
But tonight I've also made her some peri peri sauce, Nando's style; it's bottled up, with a label on it I've designed, with her photo and name (and even cooking instructions on the back!). It tastes nice and spicy, and it's the right orangey colour too.
I'll give her the bottle of sauce first, and then leave it a while just to kid her a bit, before giving her the gift voucher.:)

can i please have a few hints have a 2 kilo smoked joint to cook need to be able to bung it in tomorrow before i go to the hospital and forget it did you do yours in the oven and was it covered and what temp please sorry to ask so much but never cooked one before so any elite help please xx
I did mine in the slow cooker today.
If i have one which is too big to fit in the SC though, I would either boil it in water
Or put it in a roasting dish pour some coke over it and cover in foil so that it steams rather than roasts. I would then do it for several hours on a really low heat in the oven
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
