I thought they had promised to re-look at this when the advents had finished.

Please. please, please can we have the direct links back in the daily thread. I've been doing them the old way directly from the individual sites but it takes so much longer having to keep clicking back to the prize draw lists. It was much quicker when we had them in a list directly on here.

    This.

Can see an argument for having them on the main board in some form, but there was no reason to get rid of the direct links in the mags thread and we need them back asap please.

My offer from an earlier thread to put a daily post on the main board flagging up particularly good new prizes in the mag dailies still stands if that is any use.

Instead of posting 7 posts for the same prize ending on the same date with the different Mags wouldn't it be better to just make 1 post and have all the mag links within the 1 post

IE: search for .... WIN! x5 albums from Now That’s What I Call Music!

and you will find 7 posts for the same comp --- with CHAT MAGAZINE, NOW MAGAZINE, PICK ME UP, WHAT'S ON TV, WOMAN MAGAZINE, WOMAN'S WEEKLY & WOMAN'S OWN MAGAZINE links in each one

Would'nt it be better to have just made the 1 post and placed all the links within that 1 post...... cutting down on 6 posts that clutter the forums

Yes, PLEASE! This is listing competition dupes on a massive scale. It's all one competition with multiple routes of entry, and we don't do duplicate entries when other competitions have multiple entry routes.

As long as this goes in tandem with returning to direct links from the mags thread. Lists by mag in the mags thread linking to main board posts by prize would be an absolute nightmare for those of us that use the mags thread.

I only started doing the Mags Dalies this year so don't know how it really worked before.

I do find it awkward having a number of posts for the same prize, especially when I'm pretty sure there should be seven but I can only find six!

It also seems a bit of a waste as I only refer to the post once, and then save the direct link (including end date and answer) as a bookmark in my browser for daily entry as opening up individual posts each time was way too time-consuming.

Edit: I can't imagine I would change my entry method regardless of how the comps are posted on the forum as I really do think I have it down to the minimum number of clicks etc through the use of bookmarks and the bookmark manager in Chrome.
Thanks to all OPs and everyone who helps/posts etc!!:T

When the thread changed to being links to posts rather than direct links I started bookmarking the comps instead of going through the mag daily thread and now find this is much much quicker anyway.

I like it as it is, I enter once, green tick it and forget it.
Yes, I have won by entering only once :)

So I deduce from this that you don't use the mag thread itself - in which case, you probably don't share our frustration. My issue is not in the fact that the comps are once again posted on the main board, that doesn't really bother me either way. My annoyance is that the links on the mag thread are to the main board thread and THEN to the magazine, whereas before they went directly to the mags. It's really cumbersome and time consuming the way it is now and I'd welcome a return of the direct links.

I don't use the daily thread so I would like the mags to stay on the main board.

What I would like though, is maybe when it is 1 prize and 6 mags offering that 1 prize then 1 thread is made with a link to each of the mags.

But like everyone else, this is just my opinion on how I'd like to see the daily Mags posted :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hopefully now the Advents are just about over it will be looked at again shortly, i'm sure there are arguments for both ways and everyone will not agree so HOPEFULLY we will have a vote on the best way to go as many will have their view but for whatever reason not want to actually comment or voice their opinion so surely the fairest way to go would be to have an anonymous vote similar to the way the debate about raising the limit on the minimum spend limit was done.
