This would keep all the entries tidy in one place and streamline entry and also finding all the latest competitions.

I have always thought this would be a better idea too, but I think maybe those who post them didn't think it would work?

Is this subject going to be looked at again by board guides / admins, now that Christmas / advents are out of the way and things are less busy?
Seems to me that this huge step backwards (posting every comp individually on main board) is benefitting nobody. I don't even use the magazine daily thread now as it was so time consuming to click twice for each comp, I just go direct to the magazine sites themselves now. But ironically this could lead to what all the furore was about before Christmas - missing out on a big competition that for some reason isn't in the magazine's list of comps!
It was suggested right from the word go, that a simple way round it would be to keep the mag thread exactly the way it was, but if any major / special competitions arose (such as the big Christmas ones) they should be highlighted so that non mag daily people didn't miss out.
I stand by my original point which is that most compers don't need their hands holding. Comps are not "hidden away" on the thread, they are there for anyone to go and look at. Many people know that mag dailies exist but choose not to do them. That's their choice. The rest of us liked the thread the way it was, and would love love LOVE to have things reinstated please!!!

Please. please, please can we have the direct links back in the daily thread. I've been doing them the old way directly from the individual sites but it takes so much longer having to keep clicking back to the prize draw lists. It was much quicker when we had them in a list directly on here.

I agree I have got them all bookmarked now and don't use the Mag Daily links very often as it is so time consuming. Loved the old way as it was so fast.

Now then, I don't mind how they done. I see advantages both ways, and will definitely be happy to go with the flow on this one.

But I also have to say that the way they done now is really helpful for my system. I use my own list to work from with the mag dailies. When I see a new comp posted on the main board, if I want to do it, I add it to my list. It's sooooo much quicker to work from, than from the dailies list. And that means I now do them most days. The other way took longer, so I did it less often,

I really don't mind how this is ultimately worked out, but when a decision is reached, could there be an announcement somewhere?

As this is an issue where I have no strong feelings, I'm not going to keep close to this thread. I hated seeing people hurt in the debate that preceded the last change, and I don't want to watch that again.

I'd just like a short term sticky that tells us when a change is made to any of the current setup on the boards. Maybe a notice put up for a couple of weeks?
