Instead of posting 7 posts for the same prize ending on the same date with the different Mags wouldn't it be better to just make 1 post and have all the mag links within the 1 post

IE: search for .... WIN! x5 albums from Now That’s What I Call Music!

and you will find 7 posts for the same comp --- with CHAT MAGAZINE, NOW MAGAZINE, PICK ME UP, WHAT'S ON TV, WOMAN MAGAZINE, WOMAN'S WEEKLY & WOMAN'S OWN MAGAZINE links in each one

Would'nt it be better to have just made the 1 post and placed all the links within that 1 post...... cutting down on 6 posts that clutter the forums

  • It's a good idea and something I have already suggested.

I think when this first happened there was a lot of fuss about it and that is why the Mag Daily thread was first created.

Yea, good idea to have them on the main board ---- but no need for 7 seperate posts for same comp from different mags ......... Personally I don't enter or care for them so just ignore them - but they do seem to clutter the forum

Already been suggested in the several threads around recently regarding the mag dailies. Hopefully it's being looked at once advents are over (the BGs are too busy until then, understandably).
  • Personally I don't like this idea, I tend to do the mag dailys by doing each mags comps then moving on to the next. This would mean you have to keep logging in (it forgets really quick) to each one every time you wanted to enter a different competition and also harder to keep track of how many entries you've made in each mag.

I liked the thread how it was but to be honest the change has made it easier for me as it was how I originally used to do mag comps so was simple to move back
  • I do use the new mag daily thread as it helps me find all the comps for each mag together and see at a glance which to enter but tbh I am not finding it any harder or easier than the old thread

I don't enter the shared comps - which means I tend to avoid all comps on those mags to save time searching for the unshared comps this - would do it

I've found it clutters the main board with separate posts for the same prize for each magazine :(

yes, it does, but Glad said they're all to be posted sep. until something is sorted after Christmas,
it takes a lot of time up also for the posters putting them on the main & then linking them through to the daily mag thread
hopefully after Christmas it'll be all looked at again & something sorted out to keep everyone happy.

  • Just my 2p worth....

It'll be much better if there was just one thread per magazine which listed the 30 or 40 competitions and someone kept it up to date like the other Puzzle magazine entries.

i.e. One thread, One master list (like advents).

This would keep all the entries tidy in one place and streamline entry and also finding all the latest competitions.

The less clicking between web pages and entering passwords the better for all of us.

Feel free to constructively agree/disagree and sorry if anyone else already suggested this (think of it as me agreeing and reinforcing your idea!).
