Well, I leave work in one week. Not really got a job lined up as such but it is in pipeline. Scary! However, I have promised myself that I will get the DIY jobs done and the bits that you put to one side for later done! Also to sort out my crafty side of things as well in the hope of making some pocket money.
I'm busy this morning trying to work out which of my daily clicks 'work' for me so that I can build up vouchers for Xmas but have one or too that I can use as an emergency fund. I have finally opened a separate account to put all mystery shop money in etc.
I also have a huge leccy and gas bill that I need to pay. My own fault but I have now have a payment card that I can use to pay bits in alongside the normal monthly dd.Don’t put it down - put it away!

Hi Susan
For the shoebox appeal click on that link above.
Then if you scroll down the page it says something like family box or elderly box, then if you click on that link it takes you to the form that you need to print off. (Not sure how I am going to do that- no printer!!- ask a friend as their donation perhaps??!!) It also tells you the size of box to go for! Hello Clarks- here I come!
No cards next Christmas- money spent on those boxes instead. You can get lots of the items in the basic ranges at a supermarket- deodorant, toothpaste stc. I shall look for small toys at carboots. There are usually loads of toys.
Watch the video here:

and read the 2 "journeys"- the delivery stories with photos
If that doesn't bring a tear to the eye.....well!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Thanks katiehound for that
Tibawo - sorry to hear about your big bill. I don't like these pesky utility bills. We rely on gas and electric and it's difficult to cut back. I have used mine less this winter than ever and wear a jumper and padded gilet around the house.
Well it's been a funny weekend everyone been busy working and I've been a bit lost I suppose.
Hope you all had a good one :-)Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -

Hi Moneypenny
I have just finished off a bag
Its not planned as a present for anyone at the moment. I am hoping to sell it on my stall. I do like it though so might end up keeping it for myself come summer if its not gone.
I am still looking for some size 7 shoes to do my other daughter's pair for her birthday. Can't seem to find anything suitable at the moment but her birthday isnt until November so plenty of time.
My grandaughter's birthday is August and I have some batman/batwoman tshirt fabric so might make her either a tshirt or a pair of leggings out of it.0 -
that bag looks really good.SPC~12 ot 124

Hi all
Sorry I've been awol, I've been reading but not had time to post.
On Saturday was my friend's memorial, the one that killed himself and dad was supposed to be giving me a lift as I had dodgy shoes, I normally wear jeans and trainers but this time was all dressed up. However I got a call early that morning to say dad was ill so I'd have to walk up myself. I decided to wear my jeans and get changed at mums house as it's close to the church. When I got there, ambulance for dad. I was going to go to hospital with him but the paramedics were doing loads of tests and would be there for hours, so I got changed and went to the memorial, caught the tail end of it and stayed out, calling mum all the time for updates. Finally dad did go to hospital but didn't want anyone to go with him in case he was sent home.
Ever since each day he was told he could come home then at the last moment they discovered something and he had to stop in. The same happenened yesterday and it was too late to visit on both days because of the palaver.
Today mum is going with a friend because I'm not feeling well but it seems as though he's being taken for some kind of test but they don't know what time so hope it's not when mum arrives. Looks like everything they presumed it was each time was not the right diagnosis, it's some kind of blood infection now.
Hopefully I'll go tomorrow if he's still there.0
