Unfortunatly its a special type of flooring as its the wetroom, when the 2 rooms were converted into 1, they had to alter the flooring to allow for drainage for shower, - when it was fitted it needed 24hrs to set before anyone could tread on it.... I just feel like screaming.

Mrs MoneyPenny - That cushion looks gorgeous, I'm envious....
I have just finished a Black shawl, just got to tidy up the edges, (as the wool that had £1 has a few knot in it....) but the weird thing was knit one in better quality wool and it didn't look as good... weird..
But finished that be one more off the Christmas list.
My still to knits for Xmas
2 x frilly scarves
Aran jumper (blue) - 3 yr old boy
Aran jumper (red) - 18mths boy
Cerise cardigan - 3 yr old girl
Cerise cardigan - 1 yr old girl
I was given two balls of Aran wool, as friend given up knitting, gave me 2 carrier bags of wool and some knitted scarves, - using the aran for presents, - undone the scarves, using that wool and the odd sets of wool for blankets for Dogs Home. Which is mothers job to crochet them....

I work at a hospital and every morning walk past the £1 a book table outside the (still closed at that time) charity shop. If the shop is shut one puts the money in the wishing well. Today I spotted two very nice look like new knitting project books - gloves and bags. Have bought them for DD1 and DD2MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Had a lovely wait for surveyor... turned up 2 hrs late.... the bloke wasn't bad, reminded me a bit of Paul Hollywood......
After a few photos and a ah you have a mess.... (yes we kinda know that) it is now being passed to the builders...... there debating on the flooring in bathroom, as to who the responsibility comes to..
It feels like were back at stage 1. Feel like screaming loudly... but I have the shower back, even if its a 30 sec shower.
Good news - managed to get a ruffle scarf knit today, so that's one more off the Xmas list.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi everyone
Hope you get your room sorted soon Mum2one. Must be a nightmare, not just from not being able to use it but all the hassle too.
I went up the charity shop yesterday and bought a nice bag for YD, i have started to stick some decoupage on it, doing the batman comics again so it matches the shoes. It had some checkered strips on it which I didnt like so I have painted over those with some black acrylic paint. it also had some fawn coloured piping which I am going to paint blue. The bag was only £1.
I also bought a few bits to do to sell on if I can (can only try). I got a photo frame for 25p, and three bangles 25p each. I found a large map book for 25p too to use for decoupage. I thought I would try this on a pair of shoes. I found a couple of pairs of my own that I don't wear as they hurt (not used to heels) so will try one of those to sell, plus one with the dandy comics. Hopefully if I can sell them it would cover my costs and give me a bit to play with to buy some more bits.0 -
