We have a lovely new water feature in the kitchen........ dad felt a drip on his head!! next thing there is a lovely bow in the ceiling...

Rang homecare - is it an emergency - could be the ceiling looks lovely bowed, and dripping... and by the way its under the shower...

Plumber came - said sorry need to cut a small hole in ceiling (ok - we've already rang house ins), what was a little 6in x 6in hole - the ceiling started collasped, missed his head by half an inch... now have a lovely 4ft square in ceiling...

Hopefully there get the parts for the leak tomorrow, xx

    (will upload photo 2mor)

From 4pm to 9pm been a ngtmare - hopefully fix 2mor, then surveyor, then builders...

    Hi all

Mum2one, whatever are we doing to do with you? Can't believe all the bad luck your family endures. I hope you get the visa this week. Glad you got the plumber round quick.

Gd news we got Miss Hoodies Visa through yesterday so mass panic over...

Just this damm ceiling, lucky as got the plumber through homecare so we only have to pay £50 excess - but we have only had the wetroom converted 3 yrs ago, the state of the pipes are disguisting...

Waiting for plumber to come back tomorrow - hole in ceiling measured 2ngt 4ft x 6ft - more of the ceiling is hanging loose...

Then got to wait for surveyor from ins company to arrange repair of ceiling.. (£250 excess), thank god we have house insurance, but with dad recovering from his arm, stress we could well do without.

    xx

Omg mum2one - what a nightmare and grandad hoodie out of commission To.thankfully no was hurt. I know the mess and upset is awful. On a positive side miss hoodie visa is through so that's a plus. Water damage is a nightmare well done on insurance though.

Well I had a lovely day out with OH he took me to Harrogate and bettys tearooms then a bit of shopping, got some tops and a cardigan. Then went on the Skipton road to a lovely restaurant. Not very mse
But OH paying as had problems at hospitals Wednesday, I won't bore you with the details. I really enjoyed it.

Further fun and games here - the part has to be specially ordered - hopefully due next week.. Hopefully!!!
Have to confess had to have a shower - v quick one - wash hair over the sink (back to the 1970s...) more rubble on the floor this morning..

also rang the comapny who instructed the job in the 1st place - the company wanted nowt to do with it, till I kindly suggested that my next call would be trading standards..... she couldn't be more helpful!! Emailed photos across, - shes arranging to speak to the plumber - would we like them to quote for it.. NO WAY - this is an insurance - out of pocket starting to add up!!

phonecall last ngt from plumber - got to order part in, early next week, but be very careful if we have to use shower!!

Had a stress free day today, (makes a change for us!!)

Went out on boat trip (our local town) free offer for all locals for month of March, took grandad hoodie and Miss Hoodie, (saved £18), weird as local born and bred, but learnt some interesting facts, - GD Hoodie - treated up to drinks.

Then pub for lunch - I was going to pay (but forgot debit card!!), so grandad hoodie paid - bargain 2 meals for £7 (so had 2 sets and shared the 4th) then offer on drinks 2 bottles for £5, (£4 each)... £22 all in...

Totter round town, - nice to get out of the house.

Lazy ngt pjs, fluffy socks, and dressing gown xx

Morning all, I made a start on the shoes for YD yesterday, got one done, going to finish the other one today. That is covering them, still need to give them a few coats of the glue and then some varnish on top but coming along nicely. Definitely need to find another pair for ED after.
