Well done on your car boot haul. I have been to car boots both as a "buyer" and as a "seller" and its a unique experience! I think they are hit and miss, I remember going to one and getting a selection of Mr Men books for something like 40p each and they were brand new, compared to £1 in the shops I was dead chuffed!! I think I might try and go to them more often, we have one round here on a sunday morning, only trouble is getting up so early, it opens at 6am!

Hi Restricted, nice to see you here again xx

I have been busy doing the bag in between family stuff. Still not finished covering it. My back has been playing up a bit so not been able to do any in the evenings as feeling too sore by then so just doing a bit here and there during the day when I get 10 mins to myself.

He sounded an absolute laugh over the phone, had tears down my eyes...

    Hi all

Susan, really sorry about your experiences lately. It sounds horrendous.

Mum2one, you are going through the mill in another area, your house, What a palaver. Hope you find out what is going on for certain.

Rufus, you've got a lot of good ideas for projects hope you get some extra funds by selling a few things.

I've been awol. Can't remember why I didn't post last week. Went out Friday and Saturday - usual dramas. Then unexpected Fri-Monday visit from Ds1 and g/f.

I've had emails plus long talk re the gift envelopes for care home. Things will be done different in future. I'll write an update another time. Got to get pressie for dad tomorrow. Will have to bring wrapping paper, sellotape etc with me and do it in the library or cafe and drop it round his house as I'm behind schedule. Very naughty! No idea what to get either. I did consider a touchscreen mobile and took a look on Saturday but Tesco is limited. Then I was having second thoughts, Dad was struggling to see the laptop screen at my house so a tiny screen may not be a good idea.

Susan - hope you feel better soon, as you say with being allergic to pain killers your back at square 1, have you got a hot water bottle and try alterating with cold compress.

Angela - good luck with the prezzie shopping, - hope you get something sorted...

Give you a laugh, my mother!! has decided she should have a smart phone, now bear in mind she can't use the internet, can bearly text, if any of her friends want to text her, they text me and I show it to her... and as for touch screen, she has arthritis in her hands and not much feeling... bless her heart!!

Romance - I think it be a case of dreaming, knowing my luck he'll be old and ancient !! but at least had a good laugh on the phone...

All quiet at the mo, just getting down my list for knitting for xmas, now on white shawl. Miss Hoodie claimed one of the scarves just knit, 3 shade blue ruffle, - does look nice, - got check up Wed for asthma then popping into town with dad, so pop and see if theres any more wool, £2 a ball for 100grams in The Works, (used 2 balls) the scarf really thick and warm.

    Update with progress 2mor xx

Morning all, had someone ask about me making some of those clutch bags out of recycled magazines that I made before. I have given them a price reflecting the time it takes to make them and waiting to see what they say.

Had dentist yesterday, was bad experience, still in pain today. I am hoping one of these days I will get a pain free day. Back to the hospital tomorrow re my back so hoping at least that might get sorted. The mouth should ease up over the next few days.

Rufus - Thats gd about the bag, keep finger crossed, it sounds daft but its the time that they take to do. Ah to the dentist, I have to go 2nd April for a filling, - with a view to a crown... I feel like I live at the dentist.

Good News - The bloke came out to look at the job, he was a laugh from start to finish, he reminded me of Shaun bloke who was from pop group that went onto I'm a Celebrity...

The Good news (2nd lot) the ceiling in kitchen easy to fix, and there going to decorate the whole kitchen for us.......

The bad news - the bathroom floor - its a mega job, specialist contractors - all items got to be taken out, flooring lifted, left to dry out, then relaid, dried, and plumbed back in......

The bad news - they have got to redo all the pipe work done on the call out as not a good job and they can't do ceiling around it.

Good News - The insurance company will have to arrange for alternative accomodation...........

Heck no when we will get it done!! All fun and game.

    Mother Hen moment...

It could jut be bad luck but someone tried to hack into my facebook account at 3.30am... somewhere down South........

Its change all passwords on all accounts... xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
