Began the mammoth task of sorting videos and pics from the trip today... More than 30GB of material from the first week alone.
It is a long, ongoing project, but it is a labour of love. My skills in the blogging/ vlogging department won me a place on the trip so I feel like I'm earning my keep! I've had a great response to the videos that I've shared so far which is making me feel warm and fuzzy inside
Details are on faceache. If you're not on there and want a nosey, PM me.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Will pm you with my new faceache alter ego.

I've been chipping away at the to-do list.
*initial back-to-school shop for shoes and 'uniform' done.
* shopped around for buildings & contents insurance. Decided that our renewal quote couldn't be beaten, but I will earn nearly £4 for running gocompare and confused via Quidco.
* Another bag of shredded paper has left the study, and I have a bag for life full of carp to go back to school. I think my relative lack of progress here is testament to the cumulative success of previous declutters.
* opened regular saver with FD. Checked savings rates on other products and have decided to leave things where they are for the time being.
*storecupboard challenge continues. Top up shop of £8 for the week. We should be able to manage another 7-14 days running down the stores.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Interested to know what kind of thing is school uniform for you?
Last term it was black maxi skirts and brightly coloured cotton v neck jumpers for me.0 -
my classroom alternates between being the hottest, most airless place on earth and arctic like temperatures so layers are the way forward. My usual uniform is a pencil skirt with either a blouse or sleeveless top, with a cardi and scarf over the top.
This coming year I want to introduce some dress and jazzier skirts into my repertoire. I need to strike a balance between capsule wardrobe, and having enough clothes that I don't hit panic stations if I haven't had time to keep on top of the laundryknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
I like the sound of that but tights get me down.
Planning to go a bit burlesque-inspired this year with scarlet black and purple in lace and velvet.
On the basis there's only one thing worse than being talked about...0 -
I think tights are the work of the devil but swear by hold ups. Only risk is that like me you'll get dressed in semi darkness one day and end up with one navy and one black leg!Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. OH and I have had two nice walks to get some vitamin D before the apocalyptic rain arrives tomorrow, one along the coastal path and the other around a large lake. Both about 4-5 miles.
The mortgage is now officially with FD. Just waiting for it to appear on the online banking. We are celebrating with home made cappuccinos... We had a free £5 voucher from argoose which we used to buy a milk frother. Simple pleasures eh?! Need to stop playing with OP calculators and formulate a plan so that we hit the ground running in September.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Still (impatiently) waiting for mortgage to appear on online banking. if it hasn't appeared by the weekend I shall phone to inquire as to its whereabouts.
I went into school today to see the kids. Our department results were in line with what we had predicted the kids. As it was ever thus, those who worked got what they deserved, and those who didn't paid the price.
The horrible realisation that school begins again in two weeks has spurred the kondoing into action. The dining room cupboards have been purged and the donation pile for the charity shop has grown considerably. I'm now trying to organise the kitchen cupboards more effectively (OH is very good at putting things away, not so good at putting them away in the correct place. I love him dearly, but I'm sure that wars have been won and lost over far more trifling matters  :rotfl: )know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Well done for your support of those students.0
