I've done a wash and hung up, fed the birdies Xmas shaped seed bakes (our birdies are not Christian lol), emptied the bin. My other goodies out shopping were
Craft paper rolls - hmph they used to be 67p, now £1 :mad:
Reduced wrapping paper for next Xmas
Tissues. Lots of.
Snow boots for DS - his are too big
Few reduced craft bits
Couple of needed light bulbs

Am now eating choc and watching the Madagascar penguins christmas caper they crack me up those penguins

The kids aren't even here :rotfl:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves the Madagscar Penguins!

I requested a recording of Toy Story 3...this was rejected on the grounds we already own the DVD! (Part of the reason I don't know what 'we' own is that both the kids have DVD racks in their rooms; some are in the dining room (in a cupboard) and mine live in a drawer in the lving room).

Two washloads on the line; yesterday's line dried load has been ironed as is now airing (it wasn''t bone dry) in my bedroom as the sun streams in there; the window is open. I'm in the process of homing the sales haul and gift haul. DD has 'helpfully' shared gift wrap purchases with me (for next year; her theme is slightly different from mine so we are splitting two packs of curling ribbon) and I'm not sure who owns what.

Sink/kitchen tidied - emmb - those kitchen trashers come here to. Must be borrowers;):rotfl:

Dunno what to do for meals. DS's gf appears to have moved in:rotfl::rotfl:

I MUST go to Morries, all the milk we have is out of date. Might do fish pie :cool:

Well, its taken me till now to sort out the 3 boxes:eek: im most knackered yet satisfied I managed to chuck out 1 very large box filled with out-liked/out-used stuff:T ive put the TD on again.

Kitchen next, yep definitely, probably, maybe, perhaps :cool:

I've just put a purple dye on DD's hair, she is dark blonde and right now it looks bright pink! :eek: waiting for the pinger to go on my phone to rinse it off, I suspect we'll be heading to boots for a Decolour remover before the week is out.

The Outlaws are taking all the skids to the panto and out for dinner tonight so DH and I have a few hours of peace. Unfortunately we have to collect them later from town so no nipping to the pub for us I'll probably end up cleaning the bathroom again, I get the feeling it's going to need it in a few minutes

Confession yet to do anything much apart from email 2 credit card companies to try to get them to agree to reduced payments and shuffle some money around.
Dormouse syndrome (which is now confirmed as diabetes after all this time _pale_ ) is biting me today.

Hi all, hope you had/are having a lovely Christmas break. I'm back, trying to get the whole house in order for the New Year as I've a major project that I need to start, but need my mind and house in order first! My mind may take longer to sort, but I can make a start on the house...things aren't as bad as they have been in the past (I can see the floor, for starters!) but trying to crack on while poorly isn't easy as I just want to hibernate!

I haven't caught up on the thread, so big hugs to those who need them, congrats to all who deserve them and love to everyone regardless.

I'm off for a HHC at 1.30pm to attempt the following:

Clear surfaces in front room; dust & polish;
Vacuum front room & kitchen;
Clear & set up woodburner for this evening;

Anyone care to join me?

Afternoon all, still dosed here so tablets in and I'm going for a hot bath as soon as water is warm enough. OH can get the fire sorted and fill all the buckets.


Think i'll give the livingroom a good sort out today and potter in other rooms. Kids can lend a hand and OH can get the bins emptied. WM and td on the go already and i'll get the bedding done today too.


Right best check the water.

Hi everyone! The rain over the last week has found a leak in the bathroom and a small one in my bedroom! (should've bought 2 dehumidifiers to dry them out!!). And now the toilet has decided not to flush! And my car has it's MOT this week! Can I please hibernate?

I love them too - and I love all the Pixar films and Ice Age and Madagascar and Despicable Me, etc., etc. I go to see them at the cinema with my 72 year old Mum!!
