  • Oh me too, I can't wait to be able to maybe get an hour's gardening done of an evening. Or go for a nice walk and watch the sun go down. :)

It's been nice the last week or two actually getting home from work in daylight, such a treat. :)

    Hiya

yes I agree I love getting in from work and there's still daylight!! only a few weeks until we change the clocks !!

  • Busy weekend which included a gym visit - two long walks, bit more gardening, cooking a Sunday roast for family and I also went out for tea last night.

I've also put some items on ebay at long last - I've been meaning to do it for ages - I've listed 10 items, i'm not expecting a fortune and will be happy if I sell 5 or 6 items and make a small amount after postage and fees . I'm all or nothing with ebay I have bursts of listing every week and then months and months of not going anywhere near it - ah well we will see what next Sunday brings when the items end - that will be the decider if I list again or stay away

  • forgot to mention and how can I forget!!! I came in 20 pound under budget this week :)- moved to my savings account - not sure I'll do the same this week as my food supplies are very low and I need to stock up on food essentials - perhaps I've been spending too little on food ? I don't like running out of things and this is the first week I've noticed that I'm completely out of a few things.

You've been very active, sounds like a lovely weekend. :)

I know what you mean about ebay - not only do I not enjoy it, I also think I get a very poor return on my time and effort - the hourly rate must work out very low. I try to just sell more pricey items but even so, I find it a lot of hassle.

I think maybe the odd car boot is easier and more profitable than ebay and less hassle - no annoying NPBs or buyers who claim they didn't receive the item.

I try to keep a supply of essentials so I don't run out but we do still end up running out of things completely. Well done on the 20 quid saving this week though, result!. :j

yes you're right it is a poor return - i'm quite pleased tonight as one item has a bid on and another four have watches so we will see - every little helps as they say :)

  • My morg payment has come out 622 pounds I think 400 of that will come off the balance (the rest is interest) so I now owe approx:-

    78417 morg
    10112 CC bal

    88529 in total

This is approx. as the morg interest doesn't go on until the end of the month.

Had a no spend day today - was tempted to buy some chocolate at lunch but I resisted - for the calories as much as the money so pleased about that.

  • Big shop today - I had a list and went to 3 different places ( H bargains, euro s/market and one of the big nasty's) for different things - in total spent 23 but I have lots and lots of supplies, in fact in one of the shops the assistant said crikey 3 big bags of shopping for 7 pound how did you do that - I smiled and thought to myself budgeting / scanning the aisles and price checking that's how I did it.

My only wish is that I had shopped like this years and years ago - but never mind better late than never.

Have done a gym session and a walk today - I'm now hungry with lots of lovely meals I could make (and a few naughty sweet things - must add on offer too ) so it's decision / feeding time and looking forward to the final episode of a brilliant drama ive been watching.

  • Had a good week - apart from the big supermarket shop I haven't spent anything at all - i'm not out this weekend either so..... I have made my first ever morg overpayment - only 30 pound but it's a start!

I have now added the details to my on line banking so I can go in and make additional payments whenever I have the spare cash.

A busy weekend ahead - helping family with some diy - visiting, exercise and might do some baking. My ebay items end on Sun so I will update any profit and probably make another over payment or add to my savings

Hey congrats on your first overpayment - well done. :j

Your shopping sounds excellent as well, I'm afraid I haven't reached that level of discipline / planning yet. I can agree with your comments about wishing you'd done stuff like this years ago - so do I. :o

But still, there's plenty of time left to get more organised and smarter with money and lots of life to be enjoyed.
