TalkTalk Speedy Payment Discount

I see now the Speedy Discount is only 10% - still better than my cashback from Santander but when I tried to pay the bill this morning at 9am (I received the bill yesterday at 1pm) I was told I had missed the payment deadline.

TT obv havent sorted this problem out yet

Have to say, the implementation of it leaves a little to be desired. I went to pay my bill early a few months ago and went to the payment site. The link for the speedy payment was so obscure I didn't realise I had to click it and just paid the amount shown. Should have checked I guess, but I assumed it would discount at the payment point. It was a big bill too due to recent change of service. Should have saved over £7. TT refused to refund the difference.

Talk talk certainly dont do themselves any justice. they seem to like scrapping things just like that.

every time they do it acts as a stark reminder why i never switch to them!

MSE needs to proofread the article.

TalkTalk says the speedy payment discount is given to encourage people to use their online accounts. Also, by the time you receive a paper bill in the post, there's a high change you would have missed the 24-hour window. To get the discount, follow the steps above.
