If you have a popla code, then don't wait for the notice to keeper (if it arrives) , formulate your appeal and place a draft copy of it here so we can assess it for you before submission
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

you check the popla code on the PARKING COWBOYS website using the link in the NEWBIES thread , making sure its 28 days or less (they gave dave.b an incorrect code , probably using last years generator)

so amend his popla appeal and post on here for checking, minus any personal info
  • No problem i will get to over the next couple of days and post as recommended.

In the meantime the only slight hitch with the verification code given is that according to the checker they have used the date of the alleged initial offence for the generation of their code as apposed to the date of their email appeal rejection (17/1 ) .

This infers that, as of today ,the code was generated 34 days before the date of my appeal rejection email ,therefore i have not been given the 28 days i am entitled to from the date of there rejection email. OOPs !! not sure what to do...

Email address for him and David Dunford of the DVLA (copy him in too) are in the 'Private Parking Ticket? NEWBIES read these FAQs first!' sticky thread.

Hope you now know you must NOT wait for the NTK which will never come, because you are at POPLA stage and just need a POPLA code that's current, since the actual appeal templates are ready & waiting for you to adapt (in the 'NEWBIES FAQs' sticky).

What are digits 4, 5 and 6 in the dodgy code then? Should be 017 for 17th Jan?

  • The numbers for the 4h,5th and 6th digits are 3,4 and 8.

In terms of gaining a correct code do you feel that dave b's email (thread no 34 )would be ok,similarly does the 28 days still run from what should of been the date of there rejection of appeal email or from when i get the correct code.

I appreciate that you all put a tremendous amount of effort into these cases ,as such i have tried to follow the threads and do my own bit, however i struggled to get to the link with the personal email addresses for BPA and DVLA,i got the sites but unfortunately not the personal details. If you could post the link or just the email addresses for S Clark/D Dunford i would be grateful ,that way i can move asap.Ta

you havent read through this then https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822 because the details and links are all in there , including the BPA and the DVLA too

a complaint similar to the dave.b one should be fine with the BPA and DVLA

the point really is that the 28 days should start around the date of the rejection letter, giving up to 28 days to appeal to popla

once dave.b got his code he already had his popla appeal sorted, sent it in, and JAS soon cancelled that charge

I see no reason why yours wont go the same way, or win at popla , seems a done deal to me
  • Hopefully....Thanks for the link ide used this one before,i have just got the addresses -didn't look far enough down the thread-weary eyes at this time...

Grateful for your reassurances ,ile be back on this tom emailing all three parties. In the meantime i appreciate your prompt guidance as such ile post my draft popla appeal asap in readiness...

Wow, an old code generated in the middle of December but only sent to you with a letter over a month later? That's tantamount to fraud, certainly breaks Unfair Contract terms law and regulations, so they deserve a very strong complaint to Steve and David!
