Did your DH watch you pee on the stick to find out if pregnant?

My partners didn't actually watch me pee on the stick but watched with me for the result. I wouldn't have wanted them to watch me try and get the aim right!0

Dh was at work when I took the test. He'd been bugging me for weeks to take a test (I thought I was still messed up from IVF drugs). So I was only taking the test to prove him wrong!
I phoned him at work to tell him the news - turned out I was 8 weeks pregnant.Proud to be dealing with my debts

Nothing appered... went back and told him I wasn't...went back 15min later to chuck it as we was talking about it and then as I looked at it again their it was ... Not sure if it was that faint I missed it first time or what but hey ho so I had to go back and tell him I was!!
That happened to me with number 3, I had only just had the coil removed so when it appeared negative dh wasn't too bothered neither was I.
Went back upstairs to put it in the bin noticed the line.
Went downstairs saying errr actually..................
With dd2 I had had so many negatives for well over a year, I did one just as routine really.
Didn't even check til later, I had gone past the stage of staring at them.
When I saw it I burst into tears, went running into dh, who was asleep having been nights and just waved it in his face sobbing.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
I peed into a cup then dunked the test in that (with OH present for the dunking). Seemed a lot less messy than trying to pee onto a stick.0

Id been told by my doctor to do a test. We had been trying for 3 years and were due back at the IVF clinic the 26th Nov and had never did a test during the 3 years. Did the test and sat shaking for a few minutes in shock as the line came up so quick, then showed him and rang my GP to sort a scan etc. Went for my dating scan a week later meant to be at most 14+1 to find out I was actually 15+5 with a little boy...Im 20 weeks today x0

Nearly every time I tested I told hubby and went off and did the deed and told him the result. My first child I actually took the test at work, discovered it was positive, had to hide news from my dad all the way home (I travelled to and from work with him at the time) as I naturally wanted hubby to know first. That was the longest 45 min drive ever!I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

I had a missed miscarriage at the end of a July and an operation to remove the baby on the 2nd August 2013.
I was told to test two weeks after and then two weeks after again if it still showed positive. It went to negative and we DTD - more of a hugs and cuddles to make me feel better as I was so down.
Beginning of September I was starting to feel a bit funny again but just could not think I could be really so soon.
One night OH said - well maybe you better test. I went to the toilet and brought the test back waiting for the result after I had pee'd on it.
Sure as quick as I got back - OH moved the tissue paper and boom there it was. Positive.
He then went out and bought a handful of more tests and all positive. We were so emotional.
I am now 19 weeks today and I have just had a full on thump by my belly button. Best Christmas present ever.3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

We were ttc for over 2 years
During that time I took multiple tests each cycle - the 'drama' of it soon got old. So no, dh didn't get to experience the testing very often. He would know from yet another negative test in bathroom bin
However we did conceive on our 1st round of IVF. The clinic had provided a pee in a cup type test for us to use at home. Unusually I woke in the early hours (about 3.30am!) of 'testing day' needing to pee. Woke hubby up, put on the bedside light and did the test :rotfl: Saw our very first positive test and then let dh get back to sleep
After all that our second pregnancy was somewhat 'unplanned' in that although we were not doing anything to prevent a pregnancy we were not trying either (my twins were only 15 month old at the time). I was 7 weeks pregnant before I tested in a supermarket toilet just before meeting a friend for lunch who then became the first to know0 -
I had a suspicion and did a test but it didnt show a positive blue line. Text hubby and told him it was negative.
When he came home from work he found the test on the toilet window sill (I must have forgotten to bin it) and he spotted that by this time a faint blue line had developed!

I don't see why anyone would need to physically watch their partner pee on the stick unless there were major trust issues involved!
This was my thought.
A friend put the positive test in a card for her OH for his birthday. He opened the card, and stuck the test in his mouth to blow through it - he thought it would be a Happy Birthday balloon or make some music or somesuch! _pale__0
