Meant to say yesterday that the added bonus of shopping from the sofa was the lovely cashback
I have checked for MS's this last couple of days too - spent quite a bit of time and none suitable (wrong area / days / times) part of the reason i stopped doing them
Inspired by Pavlovs_dog i have been reminded to check my figures - so i now have my mortgage balance before i started my extra payments on this threadI did use the last couple of months overpayments to clear the last bit of the debt
- i'd have been in the next 000's if i hadn't :wall:But i'd have also been paying out interest on the debt at a higher rate as well so i guess it was the right thing to do. It has inspired me to get selling some things to make up the loss though
Just need my Mr to get up then i can head into the bedroom and start the next stage of the wardrobe declutter
I *know* i bought some new clothes yesterday but my excuse is these were a bit of a need - they fill the areas where i was lacking in my wardrobe and will get lots of use - rather than the stuff i will part withI also know part of the reason i buy new stuff is to hide my ever expanding tum  But i *will* lose the weight and from 1st will introduce little eating / drinking rules to help - no point introducing before 1st as i'll be out on the 31st and that will scupper everything :rotfl:
Right - next section of study, home another gift - i thought they'd all been done but my Mr had tidied them into a neat row  and move 1 item from the pile of doomCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Loving the diary! They really help with the motivation I think.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

Thanks Watty1 - do you have a diary ? I decided to start this one for that reason really - to help keep the focus and motivationCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
I've checked all bank accounts, paypal etc. I have no money anywhere to overpay
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I have an item to return by post tomorrow - when i get the refund it will be split between the mortgage and house targets
I have a couple of watchers on stuff on the bay of e - i am not too excited they are re-lists and often get watchers but of course i will be delighted if they sell
I have checked for MS's - none suitable available.
I really want to make a mortgage overpayment :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I will do next bit of study, as i can get into the bedroom declutter next section of wardrobeAnd prepare items for posting tomorrow
Hope everyone is wellxx

Well that was a change of plans
I have been for a huge blustery windy day walk with my Mr brr! i am still cold so have poured myself a baileys to warm up
Done next section of study, moved an xmas present and not only got the parcels ready but posted during my walk :T
Am about to hit the order button on my wine making kit but am holding back - if i leave ordering until next week then it'll go on the months after credit card statement - whereas this month has the gas and electric payment on it as well as the usual and i always pay it off in full... Still i could use my spends for it and then start to recoup the money from the food shop...
Bay of e will need to wait as the items i have selected (my clothing) i know my mr will try and make me keep as he'll say he likes them
I am going to have a quick read here whilst thawing out! and then next section of study, move another xmas present and bag up coat selected for carboot stash and bag up cake for family tooCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

Hi all
i am just grabbing 5 minutes to myself and about to 'fess up on all my spending
Yesterday i spent £2.70 in the local town - this was on much needed tissues - a need and an ok spend but the other £1.70 was on veg spring rolls - i love them! and some bread. The bread hasn't been eatenand the spring rolls haven't yet either - but they will be
and they were £1 cheaper than the supermarket i was in today so a good buy really :T But still...
Then... today... £5 on underwear in the sale - not necessary i got some new towards the end of last year. On the plus side though i only need 3 new bras now and thats all the underwear sorted out at least for the year -
£26.03 in the supermarket - all necessary needs on there and even made cut backs
£2.49 on a calendar and some lanterns - lanterns £1 and not really needed
£7.94 Toilet rolls, dried fruit and crisps - cheaper shop than s/m for these. Crisps weren't needed £0.95
£5 on a top reduced from £40 and i had wanted this when ordering on-line the other day but they did not have my size.
£40 Slightly odd this one - i have an item i need to return but haven't been given the receipt to do this yet. The jacket was reduced from £85 and they had the last one in in my size! So i've paid for it but will need to return this and the other item at the same time and then do an exchange for the other item to this one. Confuzzled ? Cost to myself is £5 as its £5 more than the item being returned but i am really pleased as i only liked this in the shop so i was chuffed to get something i will use and love
Also collected the ordered items too - not tried anything on yet though, working my way up to having a shower and getting ready for this evening:)
Right so that is all spends fessed up to - the £5 i'm really spending on the jacket i think is a sensible spend rather than exchanging the other item for something i don't really like and it therefore being a waste
But i could have saved:
£5 underwear
£1.70 food
£1 lanterns
£0.95 crisps
£8.85 :eek::eek::eek:
Think i should keep up with this exercise to track what money i am wasting
i know everything will be used though and i have now absolutely stopped spending on clothes until the next round of sales when i hope to be a few pounds lighter as well

I took a pair of shoes back to primarni yesterday which were a Christmas gift. They looked lovely but didn't fit. I HATE the fact that they will only let you exchange without a receipt and will steadfastly refuse to give you a gift card refund. Had to trawl around the shop looking for things I didn't particularly need or want to avoid losing the money  ended up with a pj top and a candle.
