What decluttering has to be done outdoors?

By way of example, this weekend I took to the tip:
    • 3 rotten old fence panels
    • 1 rotten fence trellis
    • 1 metal shelving unit (was in the shed and the top shelf was rusted so badly I put my fist through it :D)
    • 2 broken panes of greenhouse glass and 8 sheets of other assorted glass
    • Some rusty wire from an old fence
    • A disintegrated pallet that was once part of my compost heap
    • 2 bin bags full of other assorted junk from the shed and garden
    • A bag of some offcuts from a solar cover for our paddling pool (pool long since gone) that I was keeping 'in case it came in useful' - it hasn't :o
    • A broken plastic trug thingy
    • Several broken garden tools
    • An old saucepan (another thing stored in the shed for years that 'might come in handy')
    • Some broken seed trays
It didn't actually look that bad when I started, largely because most of the stuff was hidden in sheds or unseen corners. I am by no means finished with the garden decluttering.

There's the INSIDE of the summer-house to tackle at some point - that really is Nightmare on Elm Street.

I've just realised you were probably asking DDFW specifically rather than a generalised 'what could need to be decluttered outside'. If so, apologies for my entirely irrelevant answer. :rotfl:

Weeds and moss  And maybe a bit of plant shuffling as i have been working each year to get it more how i want it to be - the plants the people we bought off had in it were basically huge bush type plants in a tiny garden so i've been cutting back and introducing a bit of colour :D

I'll also need to make sure whats in our small outside storage should be there and gather the pots that the wind spread everywhere :) Not until after ou though i don't think as once i get in the garden its hard for me to stop :o

    Morning all!

Well i've decluttered the spare room and am not really happy with it. Even when all the stuff in there for the living room goes back in the living room it will only make it marginally better - it is full of my Mr's work equipment - there is nowhere else for this to go. Hence a reminder as to why i want a 4 bed house which would mean a study / work sace each and a spare room  Not much i can do about that right now though! I found 1 more item for the bay of e.

Landing decluttered - again full of living room stuff but all being kept.

Bathroom 'decluttered' more of a case that everythings being kept and creams put out and already used today - eye cream, toner, hair product - once these are used up they aren't being replaced.

    Hall tidy.

So that leaves the living room and under the stairs - the rest of my Mr's work stuff is under there so i can't do that area until he's taken all the stuff off to work with him so i will just work around those times.

Today i'll tackle the book case in the living room. I know my Mr won't part with any of his even though they are never read so it'll just be my own stuff on there that i'll need to decide on

Today i need to post a parcel, post a letter, [STRIKE]pay a bill[/STRIKE], cook Mr's packed lunch, cook tea. Respond to case on bay of e.

I want to declutter the bookcase

I want/need to more or lesss complete my assignment.

Ok, bill was on my mind and has been paid - still an nsd as i accounted for the spending when i made the purchase :)

So its going to be a 200 word day then up and an activity (bookcase/parcel cooking) then here for a quick catch up :D

I have to say i am quite gutted that i have now reached the point of just about running out of things to bay of e *sob* i have really been ruthless so i know all the areas have been done thoroughly and lots of stuff has left the house and it does feel better. But i do wonder where i'll get any extra income from...

peaceandfreedom, great post :rotfl: your garden must feel miles bigger after that lot!

DD - you can't do it all! As to extra income, have you ever done any mystery shopping? The rate per hour is rubbish, to be honest, and if you don't have any issues with gambling, I'd try matched betting instead. Or, you like writing, what about elance and similar for writing opportunities?

Thanks KC - i used to do MS - but a you say the rubbish rate means i don't do it anymore.

I am interested in the MB though - definitely :D But i think i sort of need a mentor where i can say this is what i'm going to do is that right? I am not in a position to lose money and i understand that is the point of MB that you don't lose it  But i wouldn't want to make a costly mistake just now either :o

I'd also like to get into stocks and shares but am not sure where to get the info. on this really. I do know someone sortof that i can ask but they might not be the right person to ask really as they are very enthusiastic and go off at a tangent and as great a person as they are they are not the best person to explain things hmm...

i will look into elance as i've not heard of that before

    Thanks KC :D

So 200 words done, pots washed dried and moved and at least 2 days of packed lunches made for my Mr - it may stretch a bit further as i bulked it out :D

Also pondered a pressure cooker - will have to speak to my Mr have part of the cost covered by voucher and the rest would need to come out of shopping budget  I am looking at £30 rather than the £100+ ones

Made and had brekkie too :)

I really wanted to start on the bookcase but figured i *should* do a priority item first ;)

    Next quick read here then:-

    200 words
    top shelf of book case
    parcel and letter prepared :)

They'll mentor you on the MB thread - thats what I did - sometimes I didn't understand the replies, they were too brief, and I just said that, and they went through them in baby steps :rotfl:As for not making a mistake, I found the best way to do that was to take out the bets 3 days or so before the game - then 2 days before the game, I'd go back and check them all over again, to make sure I'd got it right. I always did have it right, but it gave me great peace of mind.

I'd also like to get into stocks and shares but am not sure where to get the info. on this really. Read! From free websites, from the library, freeloading in bookshops that have armchairs :D and in the meantime, save up. Set up mock portfolios on yahoo, or on a demo version of a spreadbet company, when you think you understand whats going on - don't, whatever you do, waste your own money on real experiments. Experiment with fake money. Enthusiasm is fine, but not for nothing is the stock market called the market of fear and greed!

i will look into elance as i've not heard of that before

    Thanks KC :D
There's loads of other freelance writing places - have a hunt. Never used them myself tho :o
