Popped in to say hi. All the decluttering, energy, Matched Betting talk ...phew ...off to have a sit down :)

    In awe of your energy!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Exactly the right reactions, sorry :rotfl::o

Its simple once you get started, honest. I was just decluttering my old notebook - I wrote down every matched bet, and wrote when I got whats called "reloads" - two or three new offers from a single bookie. Very convenient :)

I had a look at the matched betting forum a while ago. I read and read and tried to digest the info...in the end I decided there must be more straightforward ways to make money...I'm still looking for them. :rotfl:
But match betting blew my mind a bit to be honest-I don't think it's for me. :(

I am SO impressed with all your decluttering :j :j :j I stayed at my mum's house this week - she wasn't there, and she has one whole room full of 'stuff' that the door is closed on... but the rest of the house is just so *clean* and *empty*.

I don't think I'd want mine quite like that, but it would be kind of nice to be able to get through doorways and past cupboards without things springing out to trip me up :o :rotfl:

I'm working up to a decluttering challenge, I really am! :j
  • PB - i have been actively decluttering for years now so i probably do have less stuff to go through as its been culled about 10 times already - it is hard to do - i meant to ask if you had a strategy :D

Well I'm glad it's not your first pass through your house! *Wipes brow* The nearest thing I have to a system is 'grab it all and go'! I think the most cluttered area is my bedroom (it contains many things that shouldn't be there but are as there is nowhere else for them to go) and I am (mostly) focusing on that. With added trips to the spare room and the kitchen. And a bit of the living room.

Who am I kidding? There is no system! :rotfl:

*le sigh* for books - i have done my book shelf again today and parted with 2 books i thought i'd always want to keep. It is hard though. I did exactly that with some personal development books today 'what if i want to complete that in the summer' but they made it to the carboot pile instead  You are doing really well though PB x

Oh. Em. Gee. You should see how many I have! Two isn't even a drop in the ocean here! :rotfl:

Well done. :T I need to be more focused. I start de cluttering and then (because there is so much) I lose the will somewhat. It is a lot better than it was but I still have a mountain to climb! :o

    Hello All

I love popping into my diary and seeing all the chatter :D I have been MIA for a few days simply due to tiredness. I am not overdoing things but i seem to have times where i have lots of energy - so i need to make the most of that - and other times where i am extremely tired and even walking is a huge effort :o Don't worry though if it lasts a while i do get my thyroid checked but i think this week has been more down to not having a single full nights sleep :(

This morning i have spent ages trying to get the comp going  The good news is though whilst waiting of it shutting down and starting up etc. i decluttered another area of the living room and started on another bit as well - 1 full bag of papers for shredding :T

Whilst being MIA i was still very frugal. I had a hard day tuesday and bought some cake - it was mucho needed and very enjoyable :D This weeks food shop came in at just under £5 over budget - it makes me wonder if i am setting my budget too low as it has been like this for 2 weeks in a row and there were no frivolous spends. I don't want to increase the budget though as it still may be +£5 over if that makes sense eg increase budget to £55 and spend £60 (£5 over) rather than budget at £50 and spend £55.

I sold a few items this week and they ALL paid and were posted yesterday :T I have had to do refunds though for non-received items :(

I have finished buying the birthday presents for this month as well. Though will need to buy for next month as well - all birthdays this year seem to be the significant ones for close family 40th, 60th, 18th, 21st etc so a bit more of a spend than usual.

I cancelled an account yesterday too - a nice bit of life admin - this will stop correspondence from them and the card is destroyed. It also helps streamline my life admin too - all spends on 1 bill now and not 2 halving the amount of stuff i need to deal with - very happy with that :T
